Do not buy if you have stock frame rails or chasis

The lay down servo mount for the trx4m definitely looks a bit better then factory. Can be tricky to get the servo horn/steering aligned and it doesn’t really work the greatest with Factory chassis as it limits the travel. Works a lot better with a Lcg style chassisWould buy again !

This is a nice upgrade. Main reason I picked it up was for the look of it. Not sure if it does much for performance really. It can NOT be ran in the factory frame rails. It will fit, but it Interferes with the frame rails. This will decrease suspension travel and articulation by more than 75 %

This lay down servo mount is a must, especially if you have the tarantula chassis, as the body restricts full range of shock with original servo mount.

Great quality and very simple to install. Better clearance for articulation. Only reason for not rating five stars, is once install in my trx4m, it reversed my steering. In order to keep factory steering is to turn horn up, but then it doesn't clear frame cross member. Over all, great product and quality.

I personally trimmed the body a little and now have full travel of suspension

Install was straight forward. Cut the tabs off your axles and install this piece. While this piece still hits the chassis like the vertical servo you can get a bit more flex than prior. What I found with my LCG chassis is that under compression the servo hits the body mount. Solution would be to raise the body mounts, but that means wheel gap and at that point you could just adjust your shocks so they bottom out before steering link hits the mount. Not perfect but better than vertical mount.Update: The inlcuded picture shows how I mounted the servo from the back which fixed the servo arm hitting the bumper mount. But I also noticed that I don't get full droop out of my suspension because the back of the servo hits the upper suspension links.I've since upgraded to a Meus laydown that positions the servo at an angle to clear both the suspension links and front bumper tab.

Went on no problem. I also found a way to make it work with the stock chassis. From my pictures you can see what I had to cut away from the bumper mount, servo mount, and servo.

If you're just into the kit for appearance, it definitely looks cool. The servo mount interferes with down travel of the front axle (upper control arms contact the rear of the servo at full droop). Adjusting the pinion angle with adjustable control arms (links that can use spacers between the link rod and the link ends) helps, but can disrupt steering caster, and possibly push the servo horn forward enough that it contacts the front body mount. A balance is possible, but it's not ideal. Also, the tie rod in this kit sticks out so far in front of the axle that it hits many obstacles, sometimes before the tires do. This hinders crawling a bit much. I'm going to try the MEUS tie rod, and maybe the factory tie rod, to see if there's better clearance to be had.
