This impact is very reliable and great to use. Beats the similar snap on variant that I have. Used daily. I’m impressed with how well it works. First day of use it broke free some rotten leaf spring bushing bolts on an f350 like they weren’t even there and no hesitation.

I have 2 air impact wrenches and they work fine but struggle. I was trying to loosen the bottom strut bolt on my 4X4 and neither could handle it. I then researched and purchased this product and removed the bolt. All the other suspension bolts came out with ease. Btw, I ran 150 psi air line and it handled it. As a result, very pleased with the torque and highly recommend this product. It just works!

I bought this because my previous impact gun is old and worn out. My coworker has this model and it’s old and still has power so I picked one up. It’s very quiet and powerful. Highly recommended this model.

Used this impact to remove the dreaded crank pulley on a Honda J35 series engine. I had broken the internal pulley area with a 5 foot breaker bar after heating with a torch. This thing took the bolt out in four seconds at around 90 psi.My guess is that the impacting hammers internally have a tremendous mass to them and contributed to this impact being an absolute juggernaut.Build quality has me wondering if I'm looking at the last impact that I will buy in my lifetime. I'm impressed that much. It looks good and sounds like a race car. Wear hearing protection if you want to save your ears.

I bought the 2235TiMAX 1/2” for home shop use, not professional use. One of the tasks it has made much easier is removing an axle nut using a 60mm 3/4" drive socket on a KTM Superduke 1290 R that has a single sided swing arm. The axle nut has thin 1/4" wide flats and the specified torque is 150 ft/lbs. Prior to this purchase I had to use a meter long breaker bar with one foot placed on the rear brake, while facing rearwards and pushing on the breaker bar. The 2235TiMAX took literally a half second to loosen the axle nut and never got anywhere close to the max 300 rpm before the nut was spun loose. Some reviewers have mentioned the hog ring retainer on the anvil as making it difficult to either put attachments on or take them off, and the hog ring itself becoming loose and falling off. I agree, this isn't something I'd like if I was changing sockets sizes often. There are two models that Ingersoll-Rand sells in the 2235TiMAX 1/2'" drive series that have a pin retainer anvil, instead of a hog ring anvil. The models are the 2235PTiMAX https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074QRFYXD/ref=emc_b_5_i and the Quiet version, 2235QPTIMAX https://www.amazon.com/Ingersoll-Rand-2235QPTIMAX-Nut-busting-Hammercase/dp/B08KT7L2G7In my opinion those models would be better for professional use and if I had known about those models prior to my purchase I would have probably paid the extra $$. I'm impressed with the torque, build quality seems ok, but I cannot comment on durability as I haven't used it much.

It works really well. The gun is smaller than I expected which is a plus. Its not too heavy. Trigger control is awesome and really responsive. Huge upgrade when compared to the M18 fuel 1/2 IMPACT. This gun is really powerful maybe not the most powerful in the market but its not that big either. It gets rusted exhaust fasteners off better than the M18. I had one case where this gun did not have the beans to get a bolt off that the M18 did with a full charge(but then drained battery on one shot also might've been loosened a lil by the IR), but I'm using a 1/4 hose so that's most likely why. Either way it is much more comfortable working with this gun than a Milwaukee. Overall I'm impressed and very happy with this purchase, its not very loud either. I was going to get the MATCO but they look exactly like IR. The only reason I would consider MATCO over this is for an easier warranty but hopefully the IR holds up passed the 2 year warranty these guns have

I am an hobbiest mechanic. I have 3 jeeps I maintain and a car. I do gear instals and suspension builds on the side, occasionally.Have been using/struggling with an old Handed-down CH impact for years. It finally gave up the ghost. I bit the bullet and spent a little extra on this impact. I used for the 1st time today to change over four 8 lug rimmed tires. I swear I thought it was broken at 1st because it barely makes any noise and sure seems like it is barely working. That was furthest from the trurh. With my old impact I would have to break the lug's loose 1st with my four-way lug wrench. Then the impact could move the next. When installing notes I used to have to check all of them afterwards it makes for there were tight enough come out by hand.Did a test on how tight it gets the lugs; on number 3 out of 4 it gets lugs as tight or tighter than I can get with my 4 way wheel lug wrench. Pretty sure this thing will last me the rest of my life. Very happy where the purchase. As an added bonus, I tested out Its efficiency by using the onboard air compressor system in my Jeep.. With my old impact, this was pointless; I wouldn't power the gun. With this new gun, it works as well as when it's hooked up to my shop compressor. This impact is super powerful and super efficient at the same time!

Recently picked up a Tech job at a local dealership and decided to buy a new impact to replace the one they provided. After a bit of research and asking the veterans there a lot of questions, I chose Ingersoll Rand as my first. I can say that I do not regret that decision to make this 1/2" 2235TiMAX my first ever Pneumatic tool. Some customer's experiences may vary but mine out of the box was ready to go with no issues. (does not come with the air inlet nipple)I have not come across any lug nuts or brake caliper bracket bolts that stood a chance against this thing (at 3/4 power too!). This thing as been slid across the shop floor and dropped from waist height within the 3 months I've had it and it held up phenomenally.I'm already looking to purchase their 3/8" 2115TiMAX impact when jobs that require it become more available.all in all, a great Impact gun and it gets the job done. If purchasing, don't forget the protective boot, grease and oil!
