Replaced a defective thermostat in my grill.Works great. Needed to enlarge existing mounting hole in grill top to accommodate 1/2 inch npt threaded mount.

Makes no sense to me but the glass fogs up a little while boiling my wort. I wish I had bought a swivel thermometer so I don't have to crawl on the floor to read the temp, but that's my fault so it didn't influence my rating.

Gauges seem to be of good quality however after just a few uses both have fogged up inside. They can still be read however I wonder if this will continue to the point they will be unusable.

This works well for my home brewing purposes. I am a Brew In A Bag home brewing and the only issue I had was the stem catching on the bag. I won't take a star off for it though. I knew how long the stem was and I know it was there when I was removing the bag. The thermometer does the job it is supposed to do. I did not need to calibrate the temperature when I received the thermometer and have using it for two years without issue. If you find this review helpful, please let me know!

I'm using this as one of several thermometers on a homemade biodiesel processor. The price is very good and the unit appears to be well constructed. I only need a reading within maybe 5 degrees actual and so far my quick check using a calibrated infrared pistol type thermometer says it reads with a degree or two. So for now 5 stars is right on, though ask again in 5 to 10 years as I can't talk to durability yet, just that it appears to be well constructed. That would be the other factor to evaluate as I would expect to get several decades use out of this sort of item.

Very high quality thermometer. Calibrated perfectly from factory. I used a step drill and stuck it on my Kettle. Bam. No more clip on thermometer that keeps the lid from securing tightly. Add this and a valve to your kettle and you've leveled up big time in your home brewing.

First off, I set off locally to find a good thermometer. After days of calling every supplier in town and nearly falling out of my chair at the outrageous prices, I decided to try Amazon. I am getting to the point I just go straight to Amazon and quit trying to find things local because Amazon always has what I want, and at a great deal as well.So I happened upon these thermometers and placed my order. They came in quickly and were well packaged. They were exactly what I was needing for my project. In pricing these locally, they were well over $100 up to $180 for this same unit, and the quality of this one is every bit as good as the high priced ones.Buy it, would won't regret it!

I bought this to measure wort temperature coming out of my tube-in-tube heat exchanger. The threads worked, the thermometer works well, the temperature indicated is accurate. Five stars for being great value, for being durable, for being accurate, for fitting as described.
