Difference between normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC):

Normally open (NO) is the usual state of the signal output line is disconnected state, no signal output, when sensed to the object is closed, the output signal.

Normally closed (NC) is the usual state of the signal output line for the closed state, continuous signal output, when the sense of the object is disconnected, close the signal.

Proximity switch definition:

An inductive proximity switch consists of high frequency oscillation, detection, amplification, triggering and output circuits. The oscillator generates an alternating magnetic field on the detecting surface. When there is a metal object close to its detecting surface, the eddy current generated in the metal absorbs the energy of the oscillator, which makes it weaken to stop oscillating. The oscillator oscillation and stop vibration of these two states is converted into an electrical signal through the detection, amplification and trigger output circuit.
