A few years ago I bought a watt meter and a timer for charging an e-bike battery. The meter would help me monitor the process. The timer was to keep it from charging when I wasn't present and awake. I wanted a countdown digital timer, but the ones I found were programmable. That would have been a hassle, so I bought a countdown analog timer with a 12-hour dial. Then I got a smart phone. If I put it on the charger, I might forget it for 24 hours or longer. That's supposed to be bad, and they say when you don't need a full charge, it's better not to go beyond 80%. I looked again for a digital countdown timer and found this one.The button array is for the birds. The labels may wear off or be unreadable without glasses or in poor light. Four of the buttons are each half the next button, so they don't have to be touched more than once. That's too many buttons. Meanwhile, to set 14 minutes, you'd have to punch the 1 button 14 times. That's too many.An early reviewer noted that his repeat button was off by 5 minutes a day, accumulating to 35 minutes a week. Who needs it? Besides the on/off button, it needs only 4 time buttons: 1 minute, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, and 3 hours. In poor light, 4 buttons would be less confusing, and you could set it for more than 14 hours, to the minute, without pressing any button more than 5 times. It's a nice timer, but next time, I'll look for one with only 4 time buttons.

Very nice and easy to use timer. I use it for my coffee pot so I don't have to worry about forgetting to turn it off before leaving for work. Could also be good for irons, hair curlers, battery chargers, and anything you don't want to forget leaving on unattended. One button press is enough for most common times. No noise during operation unlike a mechanical timer. It does click once when turning on/off but is not loud. Display is easy to read from a distance.

This indoor countdown timer I find to be user friendly plus it has a large screen and I like the repeat feature plus the countdown clock so I highly recommend this countdown timer. Junior Long

I use this timer to shut off my coffee maker. I love not worrying about accidentally leaving it on. I bought a one hour timer before this one, and I found 2 problems with that one: 1) I sometimes needed more than an hour to finish a pot of coffee, and 2) that timer did not have a digital display showing the time remaining on the timer. This timer does not have those deficiencies. I can actually set it up for much longer than the two hours I need. It does great and does a great job turning my coffee maker off.

Exactly what I needed. I bought the 2-pack. One is for my soldering iron and the other for a space heater. You can program any countdown time you want by pressing the preset buttons. There's an outlet on each side of the timer that you can plug into, but they are not separately programmable. Now I don't have to worry if I had forgotten to shut off my heater or soldering iron. Peace of mind.

Very easy to use, great for a specific time needed, you can adjust the time by pressing the button multiple times . IE: minutes by minutes, hours by hours, lots of programmations. It's the best indoor timer that i have seen so far and tested. You can go up to 99 hours 99 minutes.

Use it for any time I would like to time limit the electric usage of something. I use it to connect to phone chargers, any batteries that can be overcharged, a radio on as I fall asleep, a fan in the bathroom, a light you often forget to turn off, etc. Keeps something from running all day or where you want to walk away and just have something stop working after a time. Once you have one, you think of more uses for it all the time.

I am not particularly paranoid, but with all the buzz about lithium battery fires while charging I have taken to using these NEARPOW Auto Shut Off Timers to control the length of time I charge a battery. I have 2 of these timer on a special shelf adjacent to my workbench where I charge all the lithium batteries for my various tools and lights. It is real easy to plug in the charger, attach the battery and push the time button to start the process. Most batteries will fully charge from a good charger in less than 4 hours. This way I only charge the batteries for the required time and then turn off the power. I guess that telling you I also have a chemical fire extinguisher nearby would probably not reinforce that I am not paranoid. These timers can be easily set for any time you want and have an internal clock that allows you to set a time that is repeated every 24 hours. This features would be great for Christmas lights or other routine timing operations like being on vacation. There are other slightly less expensive models of this sort of timer on the market, but having the display that shows exactly the time left, is well worth the extra buck or two.
