These are a great size and I love that they can be configured many different ways. Unfortunately, about half of the corner covers they come with were crushed when they arrived. I needed them immediately for a project so used them as-is. If you buy them, do a thorough inspection when they arrive!

The nice thing about this is the metal... I don't think I'll ever have the problem of having a hole "rip out" or get too loose because of switching pegs, etc..Well made... You get 4 squares, which make a decently small pegboard area. The 4 square idea is nice for small spaces, allowing you to make a long narrow one, or two smaller blocks, or whatever you want. It also means more work to install (4 times the screws, etc.), but that's the price you pay for customization. Pretty easy to install... place the board on the wall, I used a drill through the board as a template for the mollies, and then install mollies in the drywall, and then back to installing the screw, spacer and tighten down.One downside to this is that you get a nice "system" that you can customize as you want, but no hooks/pegs. Again, perhaps you just want a board. Maybe you have a ton of hooks on an old pressed fiber board. But I had to go out and buy a hook set, which is fine, but wanted to let you know, when you are done with install on this... you'll just have a nice black metal pegboard, and nothing can hang from it.

I don't see this written on Amazon's website, but when I read the instructions, I see that they tell you it is not recommended to be installed on drywall. That is what my garage walls are and I installed it anyway.On the positive side the metal seems strong enough and well coated. The bends all are true, so they snug against one another.On the negative the 12" is an issue when installing on drywall. I agree that mounting on drywall is not very sturdy so ideally 16" pieces could allow you to mount from stud to stud. What I did was try to center on a stud for support and have 2 screws in anchors on either side to secure from movement.I'd also rather they supply black headed screws.

On one or two of my boards there was some light scratching even though the parts came well wrapped for transport. Doesn’t affect utility, but could be an issue if you are going for aesthetics. Other than that, these are sturdy and work fine.

I set this up for hanging my resin printing tools and to that end it works great. All the pieces came undamaged for me so there was no hassle in getting it set up. I can see that being a frustrating factor in purchasing this.

Installed easily, has enough strength to hold tools. Came with some hooks and was able to use immediately.

Bought this metal pegboard and some plastic and the metal is by far much nicer and would be better if you are going to hang anything heavy on it.
