We have had one of these since college, and have used it ever since as a handy tool and utensil for all kinds of things -- food, candles, prying, mixing, scooping, unscrewing, scraping, accessing small spaces, etc. After almost 50 years of use, it is quite scratched up, so I decided to find a new one. They didn't even have them at American Science & Surplus, but Amazon does. I ordered this particular one because it isn't hollow-stemmed like most of the others that looked cheaply made. I am glad I ordered this one. It has the old school quality I was looking for. Nice.

Yes it’s a bit thin. But it will still work great for what I needed it for.

I'm glad I went with this one above the others EVEN THOUGH there were very few reviews. Something in the pictures told me the ends of this measuring tool weren't going to be blunt (which seemed to plague the more popular ones). Also, no bending issues whatsoever. In fact, I would compare the strength to about a nail of this size, maybe even stronger. It definitely won't bend being lugged around or throw around or having stuff piled on it. Super easy to wash too. This item is what you would expect to get from a scientific micro spatula.Lesson here is don't buy products that are more popular or have more reviews, thinking there's got to be a reason. I was worried I was going to receive crap, and I received not just more than crap, but something that's really made working with milligram-scale chemicals a joy.

I use this for my Matcha Tea, works great on both ends! I like that it is large enough so I can carry it in my purse and it doesn't get lost. I can regulate how much Matcha powder to add to my water by using the flat end of the spoon.Works Great!
