You understand how to fix them, but the process of unscrewing, threading, using a guitar string stretcher and tuning is such a time commitment.
Thanks to this floating tremolo bridge shim, your repair time will decrease dramatically.
Slips Right Under the Bridge
This shim is made for both 6 and 7 string tremolo bridges as well as left handed tremolo bridges.
With 2mm and 4mm edged sides, it will shimmy under most trem bridges, while only putting slight tension on the trem springs.
The rubber bottom ensures no scratches as you shimmy it in and out.
Instructions for Use:
1. Hold the whammy bar down to lift the tremolo bridge system.
2. Insert the shim beneath the tremolo bridge to prop it up.
3. The bridge parts will now be elevated, allowing for easy adjustments and tuning.
4. Optional tip: While the strings are off, it is recommended to clean the fingerboard.
5. Once the guitar bridges & bridge parts are at their final tuning place, press on the trem bar and remove the shim.
6. Rock On!

they arent for every floyd.....only the ones that are higher than the body....2 point tremolos etc

Perfectly made! If you have a floyd rose and you concocted a shim for restringing, ditch it and get yourself one of these. A must have.

Does a good job, doesn’t scratch the finish on your guitar. The bottom is rubberized and will not budge once it’s slid under there. What else is there to say lol

Hate struggling to get the proper level on your Floyd Rose or equivalent? Hate having to try and figure out what size shims you need to prop up the bridge when you change your strings, or oil the fretboard? This is essential. It'll save you lots of time and fiddling.

Yup, as others have said it doesn't work on recessed floyd rose's, including partially recessed like a Jackson JS32 DKA Dinky. I still use the AA battery method for that one.But for a floyd rose OR even some other tremolos that you can get it under, it's great. Great value for the money compared to other brands too. Was able to give one to a friend.2
