These stand-offs are good quality, and well suited to hold fireplace heat-shields. I like the fact that the screws have a black head, so they don't visually stand out against the heat shield. Five stars for the product... loses one star for the price (notes, below). My only complaint is that it is costly for what it is (a screw with a small stub of pipes). For customers, I will purchase and install these commercial stand-offs... for my own house/projects, I will just cut up a pipe and spray-paint the heads of a few screws.

Spacers are made out of aluminum. Spaces whatever you use em on by 1" which is great for not burning down your house. 10/10 would space again.

Could have been better designed for the price, the spacers are just lightweight aluminum tubes that are somewhat difficult to install unless you have at least 2 other sets of hands helping you. A small amount of adhesive on the end of the tubes would have been a great help!!

exactly as it should be. ive had my stove pipe at 600 degrees and it is 14 inches from the metal heat shield. the face of the heat shield is way too hot to touch. but the wood and the back side of the heat shield is cool to the touch. very easy to install and works great!

Bought backer board from Lowes, but they didn't have a spacer kit available. Needed two people to install (one to hold, one for drilling and aligning, but it has been installed for one year, no problems. Important note though: need to check stew tightness each season because expansion and contraction seems to loosen them a bit.
