Very smooth locking process. a piece of cake. the instructions and the installation were no problems. The release string is well made and easy to release the lock even with gloved hands. I also bough a second and different model ( OICCTFB, RED HELMET RELEASE) which proved to be difficult to look. Installation and instructions were well described. A winner!!!

I installed this quick release on a large HJC i100 helmet. The instructions are color photos and easy to follow. A video is also available. The only issue I had was removing the small screw to mount it on the D ring side. The included small screwdriver is not up to the job. You can also use a thin flat blade screwdriver but the whole rod rotates. I was able to use a pliers to hold the other end to remove the screw. Two spare screws are included in case you lose one in the process, which seems likely. Once installed, it works great with just a quick pull on the tab to release. The locking ratchet is steel and could be removed to put on another helmet. A good product.

Happy customer. I was sick and tired of taking 2 minutes each time i put on or took off my helmet with the strap buckle. I tried a other brand made of plastic and it failed within a month. I am very impressed with the robust materials it is constructed with. I can tighten the helmet to where it feels nice and snug and i feel safe. Installation was very easy. Very impressed. We just bought new helmets that don’t have a quick release chin strap like our old helmets did. My husband founds these and we bought one for each helmet. Very easy to install and even easier to use! I have dexterity issues so fiddling with the chin strap just wasn’t going to work. This makes it easy to do and undo the chin strap now. I highly recommend
