Made by Igloo. Fits Igloo coolers with an approx 1 inch outer diameter drain plug hole and approx 1-1/16 inch cooler wall thickness. Threaded cap seals tight to prevent leaks. Plastic tether helps prevent cap loss. Double check your cooler's drain plug hole size and cooler wall thickness. This is not a universal drain plug for Igloo coolers, as there are other sizes available.

Not just for an Igloo. A lot of smaller coolers don’t have drain plugs. This is a simple fix and they work great. I’ve used them on 3 coolers so far and they work as they should. So far I’ve used on an Igloo, rubbermade and a 19 quart Engel. The Engel is not a cheap cooler but non of their dry box coolers have drains. I needed one so I used this to make it happen.

It’s a perfect fit for my igloo cooler. Easy install - so easy I thought I did something wrong. And it holds tight - no leaks at all. Much cheaper than replacing the cooler itself.

I found an ice chest thrown out just due to it not having the drain plug. I was able to find this one on Amazon, measured my thickness of the sidewall of my ice chest, and determined this was the right one. It was an easy install with a couple of adjustable wrenches to ensure it's security and water tightness.

I was revitalizing and improving some coolers in the garage and bought this item because the Igloo Island Breeze 48 qt. cooler doesn't come with a drain plug from the factory. I measured properly and drilled a hole with a 1' hole saw bit. Then I enlarged the hole by hand with a rasp to get a tight fit. I filled it with water and let it sit for an hour and no leaks. This was a great upgrade item for this cooler.

My igloo cooler is about 30 years old but is still in great shape except for the plug cap which had dry rotted like plastic tends to do over time. Bought this to replace the whole thing. Much cheaper than replacing the cooler.

I bought a couple of used Rubbermaid 150 qt coolers that needed the drain cap replaced. I took a chance with these and they worked flawlessly. Everything fit perfectly and now I have 2 coolers that no longer leak. Highly recommend.

This was an exact replacement for the drain plug assembly on my blue & white MaxCold 60 wheeled cooler, though I had to modify slightly. Modifications: adding an O-ring & plastic shim between outside of cooler & hex head) so I could tighten fully. Oddly, the replacement was dimensionally identical to my original, but when tightened it still slid back and forth laterally approx. 1/8". (Best guess is shrinkage or impact over the years reduced cooler wall thickness?!) Adding the O-ring & shim to the outside took up enough slack that I was able to tighten the nut & washer inside the cooler without overtightening. Overall a high quality item & one thing I love about Igloo is that they offer replacement parts!
