The product detail didn’t tell me this unit does NOT have an automatic shut-off, like my other iGaging gauges.

I've tried the cheap knockoffs, and they just don't hold up to this one, and the accuracy of the cheap ones is really questionable. I've checked this one and it's as close to accurate as I can measure.

Igaging measuring devices are accurate and I have confidence in the brand. They meet the requirements of my hobby shop projects. You can spend less at the "harwoo frieght " store but side by side you will know where your money is better spent.

The blade and fence on my table saw weren't square, so I picked these up to help dial them both in. I should have bought the $75 kit that includes the bar for the miter slot and mounting arm at the outset, so hopefully you won't make the same mistake I did. This tool was indispensable when it came to achieving alignment of my table saw's blade and fence. The guage measures down to the ten thousdandths of an inch or cm, and is INCREDIBLY sensitive, so you have to make sure you're hitting the same spot each and every time you take a measurement. You also NEED to know where to zero it, otherwise you'll wind up chasing your adjustments. Due to the high level of precision this gauge is capable of, it has the possibility to turn a molehill into a mountain, so it's up to you to keep things in perspective and know how your tools works as well as what tolerances it's capable of.

This dual indicator works really well. It comes with one tip installed and 3 extra tips, a spare battery, a back panel with a mounting bracket that is installed, and a flat back panel in the storage case.I used the dial indicator to setup my table saw. The blade was at ever so slightly out of alignment with the miter slot. About 015 inch. This gauge allowed me to get it to within .0005. Then I went on to align the fence to the miter slot.It will allow for measuring in inches and in millimeters.

This is a nice digital unit. It is precise and it comes with the lug back as well as a flat back which is nice. It also comes with a number of stem tips which is nice. The spring tension on the stem is not linear so there is a noticeable change in pressure as the stem is compressed. I really like the ability to set it and then zero it. Yes the analogue indicators allow you to rotate the dial to zero but this is just easier to zero. I use this unit for woodworking and it does what I need it to do. I wish it came in a kit with a magnetic base like the Grizzly analogue unit does. Maybe there is a kit and I didn't look far enough. The only downside I have found to this unit is there is no LED light in the unit. In dim shop lighting conditions, it is sometimes tough to read the readout easily. I have worked in electronics for a long time so I might try to add a microled light to it in the future. I do like the unit and I do recommend it. For the price it works really well and you can afford to bang it around the shop. If it gets broken, so what, buy another one. If I owned one of those $400 units, I would be afraid to use it so this one fits my needs just fine.

So far this iGaging Digital indicator works great and seems very accurate. It also works regardless of how fast the plunger moves. Only drawback is that without light and at some angles, it is not as readable but that is common with similar lcd displays. Especially handy if you are trying to measure over a wide range such as valve lift.
