This Zoncar Idle Air Control Valve is an easy swap and perfect fit for my 1997 K1500. Works as it should, and seems to have resolved an intermittent fast idle that my old Burb had been having. The included O-ring is visibly thinner by just a tad than the one I replaced and I set the old one aside just in case the new one didn't seal fully, but the new IAC and O-ring are performing as expected. It's working!

The idle speed in my 96 Tahoe was starting to wander a bit, especially when the AC came on. I'd had this happen before and knew it was the idle air control valve. I looked on Amazon and there seemed to be any number of very cheap ones, and the AC Delco one at about 8 to 10 times the price.I ordered this cheap one, and put it in. Immediately after installing it, idle was crazy, all over the map, much much worse than the valve that came out. One minute it would idle perfectly, and the next minute it would hold the engine at 3000 RPM and more. After a little while of driving it seemed to settle down and held a constant idle, so I left it in place hoping maybe the new valve had just been a little sticky.The next day leaving on a road trip I realized after about 15 minutes of driving that when I lifted off the throttle I wasn't slowing down at all. This thing would hold idle so high it was actually dangerous. I had to push the brake very hard to slow the truck down, pulled over and immediately shut down the engine with it still in drive to keep it from over-revving. I pulled the plug to this garbage valve, and my idle settled right down to a perfect 700 RPM. I've been driving around the last few weeks with it unplugged, because I haven't bothered yet to get a good one.Save your money, time, possibly your engine and maybe your safety and get a good one (Delco).

Has a steel shaft and is better quality than what I can get at the local automotive store. The truck ran a lot smoother once I put it in. Easy to install. Just be careful to not strip out the old bolts. Need a long screwdriver to install it.
