Item was fine but I should have looked at th specs better before ordering. The outer diameter was smaller than my old ones. The material is thick, so food items get hung up around the edges. Also the strainer holes were larger letting alot of food particles to get through.

The diameter is actually 4”. The little tab makes it 4.3”. I needed one a little bigger than this one.

Color doesn’t flake like the black metal ones and when you shake into the trash can the silicone material allows the trapped junk to fall out. If not, just flex it and it comes clean.

Personally for me I did not care for this strainer. I prefer the wire sink strainers. This was not easy to clean.

I have a black sink in my kitchen and wanted black strainer, not stainless. I purchased 2 metal ones in the past and the paint chipped off many times. I tried to paint them myself and that only worked for a short period of time.I decided to try this flexible silicon one, even though it cost more than 2 of the metal ones. No more problems! So happy I found this one .

If you have the standard stainless kitchen stink stopper/strainer, you should really give this silicone strainer a chance!! It cleans so easy! No more picking off stuck on cheese, oatmeal, or any food. Everything pops right out, even if it's been dried on all night!Of course, We kept our other stainless one because the silicone one obviously doesn't have a stopper. We rarely use ours, so we just keep it under the sink in case we need it. If you use your stopper daily, or a lot then this may not work best for you.

I love this product! I first discovered it at an rental. I looked it up and I really love it . The only thing is I wish the edges extended out more like the one at the rental. However this one works great and does exactly wht I hope it would.... if you have kids and they just throw their plates in the sink with food still on it this is a great way to protect against clogs sinks.. It works great!! highly recommended!
