The controller looks good but stoped working after 2 years. ICON will ask you to send it to a service center but the cost to send it and repair it is not worth it.

i like the unit and the bare functions that i have figured out are fine. there are a lot of features that i have no idea how to access. there are several youtube videos that cover several specific functions but the vast majority of functions on this unit are untapped, unexplained, dormant and there is no effort to uncover them. very frustrating.

Took a chance on this and I've been pretty happy overall. Works pretty well with Logic Pro X and other DAWs I've been experimenting with. It is a bit quirky in style but I chose it primarily because it offers more options for actual control than the competitors at that price point. You actually get decent instrument control and other more obscure options in Logic. Getting the hang of the display and interface does take some practice. I wish the overlays were printed brighter because they are hard to see. I did have a firmware issue that rendered it temporarily useless. Jittery controller. I installed the matching beta a couple minutes later and it was fine. After my last software update, the standard firmware worked great. Do wish they had more detailed tutorial videos on use in the tools. I picked up the approach of the screen and the buttons but there are times I'm sure it controls more in the DAWs than I have figured out from the few videos they've posted.

I will probably be sending this back to Amazon. It does not work like it's supposed to in Cubase pro 10.5 at all. For example when you select a track to adjust volume or do automation, as soon as you touch the fader, it jumps to another track, always the same track and usually adjusts the volume of that track often to an undesirable level. The various buttons trigger MIDI/Instrument sounds like a drum machine or MIDI keyboard would. The only buttons that work like they're supposed to are the transport play, stop and record buttons. I was told to make sure that when you're inside Cubase to set it to compatibility mode rather than Cubase mode. It makes no difference. The info that it comes with isn't very useful at all and following the instructions exactly makes no difference. I started to get the Presonus Faderport and should have gone with that one. I will be getting that one when I return this one.

Received my Nano today, updated the firmware and bricked it. Sending straight back to the vendor on Amazon. The iMaps software is useless, the actual control surface is beyond intuitive and simply didn’t work correctly with Reason using Mackie Control. Only thing that worked were the transport controls. Documentation and support is abysmal. Guys, this product sucks, not to mention the absurdly obtuse account creation process on the website and forum. I really wanted to like this product, but will not be buying anymore in the future and will not recommend to others. If you want a better competing product go for the behringer x touch one. I’ve placed my order now. the only reason I went with the Icon Nano, was because stock was available and I didn’t want to wait weeks for the competing device, because I considered the functionality similar. It most certainly isn’t.
