This water filter is very similar to a unit I just replaced. It's very simple to install. I did not use the included template, I just did a measurement and installed as needed. Connecting the water feed lines is easy as well. Prior to installation I did a basic water test. After the unit was installed and I ran the water for a few days, only using the water for washing dishes. I wanted to make sure all the carbon, bubbles and other contaminants were flushed out. Once I was sure I ran enough water through the water filter, I did another test and the contaminant reading was half of what is was without the water filter. One of the best features I like is I don't have a separate faucet for drinking water. This filters all the water coming out that is used for washing, cooking and drinking. With a lifespan of 40,000 gallons, this filter will last a while before needing to be replaced. When at home, I don't use disposable water bottles, I fill up a water cup. This new water filter has removed the after taste that used to be present. My water now taste so much better. For such an easy to install filter, this works great.

Water tastes excellent. It’s a little hard to install, but worth the effort when done.

Installation was easy. After three weeks, the water flow got lower . I thought this filter would clean all the minerals but it doesn't because when I put the water in the humidfier, I still get little white power.

This under the sink water filter is really nice. It is very large so make sure you have room to install it. It's pretty easy to install and the video showing how to install it is a nice touch. It works really well. Glad to have a nice under the sink water filter to help us save money not buying bottled water.

I buy bottled water because I am hypersensitive to the taste of tap water. I can taste the chlorine and the metals in the water and it makes me gag. I picked up this filter to try it out and was actually pleasantly surprised. First, the installation took more than 3 minutes, but for me as a layman, it took less than 20 minutes from start to finish. Very easy even for me. Clear out under sink, turn off water and disconnect water line, place sticker, drill 2 holes, screw in the included screws, attach water lines from the faucet and water line to the appropriate filter side and hang filter. Turn the water back on and run the cold water for about 10-15 minutes to clear out the extra carbon coming out of the filter and to get the air bubbles out of the filter. First the water will be black, then grey almost bluish, and finally white with all the little air bubbles imbedded in the water. Once the air is out of the line and filter the water clears up nicely.I still ran it for a couple of days with normal use before I decided to try the taste of the water. My city has decent water considering. But I still don't drink the tap water because of the chlorine, fluoride, and other chemical taste in the tap water. I once bought a very expensive under the counter water filter that made my tap water drinkable but I couldn't find replacement filters when they were needed so I just moved on to bottled spring water. The first thing I noticed when I tried the tap water with this new filter was that it didn't have any taste at all. Spring water has a mineral taste that isn't bad if it is cold. Distilled water tastes stale and dead. This filtered water didn't taste like anything. There was no chlorine taste, no fluoride taste, not even a mineral taste. Plus there was no grit or carbon in the water, I did run it until the carbon should have passed already. There was also no metallic taste. I am quite impressed! I can actually drink my tap water again. Thank you IcePure!! I will definitely be picking up a few extra filters for this system so I don't run into the same problem I had with my last system. And this system didn't cost me $800 like the last one I had.

This is a pretty quick install- not 3 minutes but definitely less than 15 if you aren't a first timer.Make sure to place the template high enough to allow for the height of the filter, this baby is talllll! And check the dimensions against your cabinet space to ensure it will fit before ordering.Once in place, run the water for a bit to get it flushed through the filter. After flushing water through it, my water has noticeably less chlorine odor (our local water does a month long chlorine flush where it intermittently smells like a swimming pool- it's not pleasant) and it tastes way, way better.

First off, this filter is quite massive, and if you have a small under-sink area, you may struggle to fit it upright. This didn't actually fit upright under my kitchen sink, but worked under another sink instead. That aside, the installation was quite quick - shut off the water valve, screw in the two new hoses, plug them into the filter, and turn the water back on. I ran a gallon or two of water through to clear out any carbon per the manufacturer's instructions and it cleared up quickly. The water that comes out is momentarily cloudy only because the filtration introduces millions of tiny bubbles into the water. They dissolve out after a moment, and you're left with very clear, near tasteless water. It doesn't remove all taste and minerals, but did remove the faint chemical off taste at the end, and I expect the improvement is even more significant if you're starting with worse quality water to begin with - either way it's a welcome improvement!
