Another important thing spring bobbers do is smooth out the motion of the jig so the lure or bait moves more naturally in the water. This is called “swimming the bait”, and it mimics the motion of the many small aquatic prey that make up the natural food sources of many fish. Spring bobbers will absorb all of your jerks and any flickering motions of the wrist and also dampen any twitching that might accidentally be occurring.

Avid ice fisher here! I had high hopes for these, thinking the concept was great. NOT!!! Appeared to be easy on, easy off. NOT!!! With multiple tries, and frustration to get these on a couple different ice fishing rods, I gave up! These bobbers are most definitely NOT easy to work with at all! PLUS, if you have thinner ice rods (which I like for the action), you may as well forget it, they will not snug up far enough to fit the rod. Messing with this anxiety driven product was a total waste of time, and will test your patience. A huge NO for me! Ain't got time for this, time to hit the ice but NOT with these!

These work great, I used them today. The bead at the end is nice as it’s easier to see in the dark and you can just clip it onto the line instead of having to thread the line through before putting your jig on. Highly recommend for price and quality.
