I recently picked up a pair of ice crampons, and they’ve completely changed the game for my winter adventures! These crampons provide excellent grip on icy surfaces, giving me the confidence to trek across slippery trails without fear of slipping. The fit is comfortable and secure, and they easily slip on over my boots, making them super convenient to use. What I really appreciate is how lightweight they are, so they don’t add any bulk to my gear. They’ve been a lifesaver during hikes and even while navigating icy sidewalks. If you're planning on spending time outdoors in winter conditions, I highly recommend these ice crampons—they're a must-have for staying safe and sure-footed!

I got these to help reach the top of a 12k+ foot peak in Idaho that is way easier to climb in the spring when snow is covering the scree fields. I was using minimalistic Asolo boots (not hard shelled, or with crampon attachment lugs) and these things fit on just fine with little to no adjustment.I did have to adjust them multiple times at the beginning to be sure they didn't shift around on my feet, but after they were snug and not moving, they really worked well and helped us push to the top of the mountain with no issues.

I had the same experience that I saw in at least one other review. The bottom metal portion that controls the size bends under a normal man’s weight (I’m 190lb). This causes the whole system to separate into pieces since the length is not able to be held in place by the pin once the metal is bent away from it. I ended up having to stop multiple times in sketchy situations to attempt to re-bend the metal back into place and refit the crampon and cut my hand pretty deep in the process. Not a fun 4am experience, my recommendation is to go with a name brand for something as critical as crampons.

I just have to say WOWZERS about these! I have never had these before. I have looked at them for a long time and other styles of crampons, but just never ordered any. I just always seemed to have other things that took priority. Well last year during the winter it caught up to me....So we had a bad winter storm, it was heavy snow and ice with lots of blowing/drifting snow. I tried going out all throughout the night every hour or two, to do some shoveling. So after killing my back it became clear I was not going to be able to make any headway and I gave up. So the next day I decide to go out and try again as my mom had a Dr, appointment in a couple of days and I was worried about her slipping and falling....It all ended so badly with me on the ground after slipping and falling a total of about 4 times as I tried to regain my footing and get back to the house. So I torched the heck out of my ankle and then had to scootch my way across the ice and snow back to the house. Of course I went out without my phone, afterall what can happen that I will need it? I'm just going right outside.... of course my service dog is trained to be quiet and I could not get him to bark no matter how much ice/snowballs I pelted the house with so my mom might be alerted and come to see what the fuss was about LOL.So I finally make it back into the house and yell for my mom. Then I have to deal with it as she got my boot off my foot, it was not pleasant. Luckily I did not break anything, but the Dr's said I might have been better off if I had! So I tore muscles and over stretched tendons and it took months to heal. It still bothers me at times almost a year later! So long story short, I am now prepared for this winter's weather! These are some seriously hefty crampons! I'm not really sure I NEED some this heavy duty. I mean seriously, these are professional quality like go trek across a glacier or climb a mountain quality! I can tell you this, I will not be slipping and falling with these on my boots that's for sure! And given the weight of these it may make it more difficult for me to walk as I am physically handicapped already.I'm seriously thinking of getting a pair of the smaller simpler one strap ice cleats this seller has and then my son can use these when he comes over when I need help. These crampons are adjustable too! I am a woman and I have small feet, so they should work for me and my son's big feet LOL.I'm not sure how to rate these for what they are VS the price as I have never gotten some before... I know others like these I had looked at previously were around $200 and these are currently only listed for $87... so I think when you look at how they can prevent you from experiencing a serious injury as I dealt with the value is priceless! I think the simpler single strap ones are an excellent buy for the price of only $17.I would not wear these in the house unless you want to damage your floors/carpet. I would get them adjusted for your fit, then have a chair/bench or whatever outside to sit on and put them on. And do not suggest trying to drive with them on either LOL.So I do not think you can go wrong with these if you are in need of them. As always I only do honest reviews of items I get and will update if needed. I hope this helps you to make the best choices you can on how to spend your $.

DISCLAIMER: Bowling alley owners are particularly sensitive about the floors of their alleys. Wearing these while bowling may result in physical injuries caused by the bowling alley owner.Ok, so, obviously I'm using just a bit of humor here. You aren't going to want to wear these bowling. However, for snow and ice? Especially EXTREME snow and ice? The kind that makes polar bears and penguins shiver? These are amazing.I was able to adjust these to fit anything from my bare feet (not very comfortable) to my muck boots. They fit just about anything. They come in a nice little soft case, and are fairly easy to put on and take off.The only reason I knocked off a star? They don't come with ANY instructions. If you have any questions, you pretty much have to come here to Amazon and look at the product description. It wouldn't take a lot of money OR time to put in a simple 1-page sheet of instructions. No, they're not complicated or difficult, but that's not really the point. Nothing should be taken for granted, even a person's ability to put these on and wear them properly.Aside from a lack of instructions, they're amazing. You should have no problem wearing these on your next ice fishing expedition or trek across an Alaskan glacier. They're not heavy at all, despite the extremely aggressive (and sharp) spikes, so they won't wear you out to wear them. And slipping should be a thing of the past - I can't even IMAGINE slipping while wearing these. The spikes themselves are 5 stars. Only the lack of instructions cost them here. You'll be able to figure them out, I'm sure. But they still should have instructions. Light, sharp, and easy to put on and off, this is THE gear to have on your next Arctic expedition (or trek across your frozen driveway). Definitely recommended.
