We bought this cover to close down our pool for the winter. We were expecting a storm with heavy winds and rain and decided to cover the pool to keep out debris. It stayed put through the storm and handled the heavy winds and rain well. We are pleased with this purchase and expect it to hold up well through the winter months.

Pool cover was the size described; it fit well. It appeared to be of good quality. However, on the first windy day after installation, it blew off the pool. My husband had to secure it with additional rope. Now that it has been well secured, it is serving its purpose.

First day strap ripped, but I will say it will hold the water. I don’t let the water stay on more than a day because I don’t want it to freeze if the temperature drops. I’ve tired to tighten the straps so it doesn’t fall in the pool but I can’t get it tight enough. I can easily remove debris and it’s thick.

Bought 8-30 24 and installed 9-15-24. Material of cover seemed to be of good quality, drawstring is of shoe-lace type cord. Drawstring does not pull as tight as winch style winter covers. The tie out stakes pulled out of the ground on a windy day. I bought dog tie-outs that screw into the ground and attached cords to those. We had another windy day and a loop on the cover that you attach the tie out cords to tore completely off the cover. Winds not excessive. Spent twice as much, lasted 2 months, and I have leaves in pool. Not as tear resistant or as hardy as advertised.

I like that the outside of the cover is made of durable fabric. And it won't let the pool water seep thru. Will be very easy to clean debris off.

It is plenty big enough to generously cover our 20 ft across, 4 ft deep pool. The only day we had a chance to close the pool happened to be windy, rainy, and cold. So we appreciated that the fabric seems strong yet easy to work with. It's only October but we're confident the pool will stay clean and protected through Chicagoland winters.

We used a large 4 ft by 8 ft pillow and had a good slope on the cover. But between the straps, that part of cover allows water to collect after rainfall and now it is so stretched that I now have to use a tarp along with a guide rope tied to 2 trees. I wished I just paid for a better cover from the pool shop that would have avoided this issue. Next fall I will use a better cover that would resolve this issue, and spare the possibility of damaging my pool.

I love that this tightens all the way around, it keeps it close to the side of our 21ft round pool. I do wish you could tighten it more as it seems like you can only tighten each section a certain amount.
