These textured bird perches seem to do their job. My cockatiel doesn't seem bothered by them and he took to them easily. I am hoping they will help with his nails, but only time will tell. I have not seen him chewing on them. They seem to be holding up great. Price seems like it is pretty much in line with other perches that are similar.

These are decent perches. The sanding texture is light, not heavy grit. The texture is not evenly applied, but mostly covers the perches. This is good for the smaller pet birds, as they specify, but not for the larger ones. Decently made. Standard hardware.

I have given my budgies some sticks coated in grit, in the past, and they always loved them. They scraped on them, picked at the grains, and generally loved them to the point of tearing pieces off.My birds love these two sticks, and they seem like they will last a while!

Attach to the cage well and seem solid. Very good size for conures,and I love how the diameter of the perches change - it gives my bird's feet a little exercise.

These perch sticks are good for my bird who loves to sit all day and grind her claws into stuff. She bites the grit on the perch, and from climbing on it, I notice her claws are a bit duller when she's sitting on my hand, climbing up my shoulder, sitting on my neck. She seems to like the wibble wobble design of the stick because I see her walk back and forth a bit more than usual before she settles down. The design and the sand grit is good and she can easily perch for hours without having to adjust. A smoother stick-type perch she tends to slide on. It was easy to attach the perches to the side of the cage. The bolt is fine, the wingnut is good - it assembled easily and screwed on the threads easily. I would probably buy this again in a different color next time. The orange doesn't really blend in with my decor but I think having such a bright color draws attention to the cage, which just makes the bird get all the attention she deserves. So it's a win-win.

These are two very nice little rough perches. Variety in width means his toes will stay healthy, and the sandy texture isn’t loose which means a light lick of the perch as he climbs around won’t pick up potentially toxic sand grains. As one of his perches in his cage, my green cheek conure definitely likes these.

I ordered these perches because the package had two different sizes and I wanted a couple sturdy, sand perches for hanging on the outside of my cage. These worked perfectly as they come with a large, double round metal support discs, that fasten them securely to the cage bars. Now my birds have a couple places to perch, on the outside of the cage, while I am changing waters and foods and what no. Worked perfectly and very sturdy with the way they hook on. The fact that they are coated with a sand material is perfect for their nails and beak rubbing too.
