ATTENTION:
- The principle of this sand cleaner is gravity. The water outlet must be at least 19inch lower than the water inlet when you use this gravel cleaner.
- Due to manual measurement and length conversion, 0.1-0.5in error is allowed, please in kind prevail.
- Due to the different strengths of each person, and the size and water depth of the fish tank, there is no clear Drain Flow Rate. Please refer to the actual operation.
- When washing sand: If the filter from your fish tank is powerful, you can put the outlet hose into the fish tank, and the sand is circulated in the tank without draining water. If not, it is recommended that you remove turbid water directly from the tank and change clean water.
- Tip: When the gravel is sucked in too much and is about to reach or reach the top of the tube (near the filter port), lift the hard tube slightly and the gravel will fall back into the fish tank.

Sand Washing Operation:
- After installing the equipment, put it in the fish tank, do not touch the sand and gravel, press and absorb the water until the water circulates automatically;
- Then insert the hard tube into the sand to absorb the sand (not too much);
- Move left and right to clean sand and gravel;
- Lift up and down to replace sand and gravel;

I purchased this to replace a very old, no name siphon that was beginning to get moldy and corroded with hard water deposits. I thought this brand was quality, I was wrong. While it did, eventually, remove some water, most of the debris (poop and food) stayed in the tube without ever making it to the bucket. I tried different heights, length of tubing , etc, it was all the same. Over 30 minutes later, I gave up and started a return. Very disappointed!

I bought of these for my small aquariums to save me the trouble of hooking up my Python Gravel Vac. For the record the Python is phenomenal in every way.Anyway this vac was ok in the beginning but after 15 to 20 uses it because less effective and now both are totally useless. They don't prime anymore and it's an act of Congress to get it to actually siphon anymore. In general I haven't been thrilled with Hygger stuff and these just added to the list of reasons why. At this point I doubt I'd buy anything else from the brand.

I've purchased two of these in total, about a month apart. The first one worked great the first time I used it. The second one worked great the first time I used it as well. Today I tried to use the newest one (the second one) again, because it's a new tank and I'm doing multiple water changes as my fish are new too and are getting quarantine meds. But it won't work. It just doesn't suck up water. The trigger gun suction is the whole beauty of this item and it doesn't work after just one use. I'm returning it. But I still need to do a water change so I went and grabbed the first one (the older one) and tried to use that one, and same exact deal. Zero suction. That trigger gun just has no ooomph now. You can feel the difference when you're pulling the trigger. It's crazy that it just stopped working after one time for both of them! They could not have worked more perfectly the first time I used each of them.So to recap, I have two of these that only worked one time each. One is outside the 30-day return period by about 8 days and one is inside of it and is being returned. I will contact Hygger about the one that's outside of the return period. It's too expensive of an item for a one-time use only.I have no idea how I just randomly happened to get two bad ones or if people are just not updating their original reviews, but buyer beware. They don't last like they should. Hygger is a good name, or at least I thought it was supposed to be good, but this is not a quality product like I would have expected from them.

I bought this for daily waste removal from the bottom of an aquatic turtle tank, and it works really well for that purpose. Our tank is too big to use this for full water exchanges in a timely manner (we use an electric submersible pump for that), but this is perfect for quickly removing solid waste and a little dirty water to a waste bucket.I first tried a manual syphon (from another brand) and it worked well to remove waste, but the bulb pump took a lot of effort to start. I then tried an electric vacuum (from the same brand as this) that filters and returns the water to the tank, and it was less trouble to start but the filtration wasn't great. This was a good middle ground. It takes a few trigger pulls to start the suction since the tank is fairly deep, but it's much easier than the bulb and doesn't require electricity, and it extracts waste cleanly.The clip that attaches to the waste bucket isn't wonderful and occasionally pops free, so I have to keep an eye on that, but otherwise, this has been one of the handier cleaning tools I've bought for tank maintenance.

I was so excited to run across this product. I hate doing water changes because I'm not very good with the older version of the aquarium vac; I can't ever seem to get it going properly without it taking an inordinate amount of time and invariably spilling/dripping more water than seems necessary. I had high hopes for this product and it was as easy and fast as it claims! Super thrilled to be able to put it together in a few seconds and it worked immediately. I have a 5-gallon paint bucket so the clip wasn't really tight due to the larger outer rim a couple inches below the top of the bucket (it kept the clip from attaching flush so it was wobbly) but it wasn't really an issue. I gave it 5 stars for suction not because it's got huge amounts of suction but because it had an appropriate amount for the task. THANK YOU ALL for creating this! I no longer dread water changes or tank cleaning! Going to check out the company's other products as well! Happy fish tank owner here!

I love this!!! Why did it take me so long to finally buy this type?! The other gravel cleaners I can never get to work....unless I stick a turkey Baxter in the end of the hose to start it...or suck on the hose to get it going. So gross. I got a battery operated one and it came with no instructions and so many pieces I honestly found it to be intimidating. Then I found a second hand battery operated one. I was able to use it one time and then it never worked again. So I finally ordered this because my neighbor says they're amazing and let me tell you. I love it!! Its not the fastest but it gets the job done and my fish aren't scared. My only complaint is I feel like you have to keep squeezing the trigger to get it to keep emptying the water nonstop. And as someone that has had carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists it can get tender but my 9 year old thinks this is the coolest so I'm hoping that I can get him to help with water changes more often.
