I bought these to use in a VegeBox, and they are well perforated and hold water well, but the first batch I used started turning green before I even got them out of the starter tray and into the main reservoir. I’m not 100% sure where the algae came from, but I cleaned the tray and reservoir well before use, so the sponges seem like the most likely culprit, so I boiled them for Half an hour before use on the next round just to be safe and so far no green growth anywhere.

It was okay. The dip is a title shallow. I though there would be more sponges.
