If there's a better way, it's probably the HYDE way. Take painting, for example, where painting more easily is often a matter of having the right tool handy. In this case, it's the HYDE Pour and Roll, a two piece set that allows you to pour paint safely with no spills or simply paint right from the can with a roller. The set includes a paint-pouring spout that snaps into the inner edge of your paint can eliminating the mess caused by pouring paint. The lip is equally safe to use with paint, stain and solvents. Packaged with the pour spout is a roller grid for use with a 4-Inch roller. The grid attaches to the pour spout in either of two positions - one for use with full paint cans and a second for use with partially empty cans. The grid removes excess paint from the roller and prepares it for smooth, clean rolling. It also acts as a brush wipe when dipping paint directly from the can. There are two versions of this product, one for metal cans and one for plastic cans.

I bought this to keep paint from getting in the groove of the paint can when I pour paint to mix it didn't work. Groove has paint in it and is now hard to reseal properly.

It looked like this would be a good idea, but I have no use for it after trying it. The pouring spout works fine, but one of the 99 cent flap-style ones does the same job without all the extra surface area getting coated with paint. The roller grid allows you to overload a 4 inch roller, but not just load it a reasonable amount. I had to use a regular roller pan to unload the roller, then I just put paint in the roller pan and got back to work.I'm mechanically inclined and pretty handy, and I couldn't put this to good use. Almost a good idea, but not useful in real life.

It fits cans well, but it is almost impossible to pour a full can with this spout without paint pouring over the sides and spilling everywhere. I end up spending more time cleaning the spout than I used to cleaning the paint cans.Next time I'm buying the kind of spout that has a 4-5" lip that I think will be much cleaner and less prone to spilling.

This was a life saver for painting my new home. Made pouring paint into a tray very easy, some advice pour VERY SLOWLY! I poured it out quickly and it spilled over the sides a little, so take your time. Great Product, a must have for anyone painting!

I'm all for anything that allows me to spend more time painting, and less time cleaning up. This product does just that. I'm a new DIY'er, and thus am probably messier than more experienced painters. This spout/grid combo definitely cuts down on the spills when transferring paint to roller pan, and the grid is great with brushes and 4 inch rollers. I do find it a bit challenging to clean, but hopefully that will improve as I gain experience.

I bought this specifically for the pour spout. It works great and allows me to dispense the contents of 1-gallon metal cans into a more manageable jug. This thing resists xylene, which makes cleanup a breeze. Definitely a worthwhile tool for what I need.

This is a product I purchased based on a magazine review and it works as well as the review. This is a great way to keep from having paint in the rim of the can and also allows you to use the can to paint out of without a mess.
