Works pretty well, a little hard to adjust, but it does actually do what it says it will do and that’s kind of amazing

H&Y has range of camera accessories with this design. This allows a single accessory to be used for multiple lens. This one is for step-up, and it works well. It fits well on my 68mm lens to step up to 72 mm. As I have filters for 72 mm, this has been a great accessory as I can now buy filter for one size only instead of buying sets of same filters. The variable design means that we have to slightly get used to attaching this to the lens as it is not the usual twist and tighten.

Great idea and it would eliminate the need to carry a whole bag full of step up rings, there's a bit of adjusting time to use to this product.Firstly, you have to use two hands to adjust the ring to the lens size your using so it's not a fast switch. Second, once you clamp the ring onto your lens, it still spins freely so if you use a variable ND filter like I tried to use, it makes adjusting the levels hard because you need two hands, one to hold the adapter and one to turn the VND. Thirdly, the product is huge. Yes, it goes from 52mm-72mm, but there's an additional .25 inch of lip all round that's probably there to house the clamping mechanism, but it's wider than 82mm. Lastly, I felt very cautious while using the product because I didn't feel like the ring was secure enough attached to my lens so I was worried about my very expensive ND filters falling out.I think this product is a great idea and is well made, but it needs to be revised to have a better/secure clamping mechanism and be made with a substantially smaller bevel/border.

H&Y's RevoRing is a pretty clever and well-made product. The internal spring is strong but not difficult to manipulate. A downside is that while a filter just takes one hand to get on your lens, this adapter initially takes both hands to reduce the aperture, then one to put on the lens. It's not difficult and in fact is faster than threading a step-up filter into place, but juggling camera and lens and bag in the field, it could be an issue for some. The ring tightens snugly, but not to a hard stop. Turn too far and the springs make it start over. I've had no problem with my variable filters catching and turning the RevoRing. It's especially helpful if you have multiple lenses. From a cost standpoint, it would be cheaper to buy multiple step-up rings. In my case, however, I use a magnetic filter attachment system, and I have more lenses than magnetic adapters. With this unit I can place one magnetic adapter in the RevoRing, and quickly attach it to any size lens. I have permanent step up rings and magnetic adapters on my most commonly used lenses, and I'm using the H&Y for the others.

Not sure why I had not seen one of these before but I'm really glad I found one now! It makes it so much easier to use various lenses without needing to keep switching your step up rings. This one does it all! It is easy to adjust to whatever you need...it goes between 52mm to 72mm to 77mm. Once release the side it closes itself tightly on the camera or altogether when it's NOT on the camera, making it very easy to collapse the whole thing and put it in the VERY nice included neoprene pouch. It does come with directions but you really don't need them...it's that easy to use.Overall, this is a fantastic item and if there are other sizes, I will definitely be ordering more as it's much more handy AND saves you time to have one step up ring for several purposes than a bunch of them. Not to mention it saves you money as well to purchase one that does several things. I highly recommend this item!

Honestly not even sure why I got it, mostly as a "I need to see how they're making this work" type of thing, but in this case, I won't lie, I'm mostly just kinda confused. Like.... It's cool, it's neat, the threading system is surprisingly well done, but I can't help but think that the high tension spring of the mechanism is going to damage someone's lens at one point or another, probably if they try to install it on something that fisheyes a bit in the front. This will probably collect dust, but hey, it... exists? I guess? It'd probably just be cheaper for you to get the filter rings appropriate for your camera lens, rather than waste your money on this.

I didn't know that universal adapters existed like this, it's very easy to use and comes with a nice soft carrying case as well as a small microfiber cloth. Impressed with it overall and will likely be buying additional sets

Adapter ring is metal and grooved to snugly and properly fit your lens. Great way to get more use of your filters, Lord knows good camera equipment is not cheap, so this adapter is more economical than buying more filters. As you twist the adapter the inner blades enclose for a great fit (52mm-72mm to 77mm). The blade enclosing and retracting is sprint loaded, very smooth and percision. Great quality, performs well.
