I would not recommend to a friend. On the 3rd or 4th use the zipper on bottom by the boots broke. This is VERY light usage, never crashed, never handled roughly, only taken off and put on as a normal user would and the zipper already broke.Furthermore, Amazon seems to think I returned these pants, so I can't even get a replacement. I ordered the pants and the matching jacket at the same time. I got two pairs of pants. When I returned one pair of pants to get a replacement jacket, they marked it that I replaced the pants, so I cannot even initiate a return for this defective pair.Save your money and buy from a more reputable storefront. On the bright side, I can pay a few dollars to have a seamstress replace the zipper to get more life out of them while I save up for proper gear.

very happy with this purchase, I'm a little wide with 30 inch inseamhas been impossible to find riding pants that fit wellthe 36/30's are perfect for me and fit true to sizewhen seated, the armour sits in the proper placesand they are super comfortable on long ridessprayed them with a silicone water proofing agent and so far have not needed the linerand they cost 1/3 what I have paid for some name brand gear that had all been returned

Je suis impressionné par la qualité des matériaux utilisés et les grandeurs sont parfaitement adaptées. Il me reste juste à aller faire une balade pour les tester, mais je suis persuadé qu’il vont être a la hauteur de mes attente.

As advertised. Very pleased with the quality of the pants. Use over jeans on their own. Great product for a great price.

Update, 3.5 years later. These pants are pretty worn now, and while looking for a replacement I found my old review and decided to update. No idea how far I've traveled in these but my bike has gone 42000 km since buying the pants and I'd guess I wear these over riding jeans 75% of the time. I plan my trips for maximum off-pavement so there has been lots of gravel and dirt with an embarrassing number of tip-overs and a couple of low speed off-road offs.Condition: Ankle strap and cargo pocketflap Velcro wore out early but I really don't care as I don't use the pockets and the straps are unnecessary and never stayed fastened when new. The rest of the Velcro is still performing fine. All the seams are holding except the short vertical front-facing one that runs 1" up from the front top corner of the RHS cargo pocket which has opened. The seat gripper layer through the crotch is ripping loose at the edge and starting to delaminate. I'm surprised the snap at the waist still works; it was always weak. Zippers have always been reliable, even after days of travel through wet gravel and mud.Over-all, the fabric has gotten much softer and is pretty badly stained, particularly due to fresh oil on roadwork.Waterproofing: I tried the "waterproof" liner once and had a wet crotch in minutes. I never tried it again, plus it is fiddly to use. Throw it away and buy proper rain gear for proper rain.Protection: While wearing these I dropped at least 4' onto rock on my hip in an off-road tip over and giggled aloud because it didn't hurt, so the armour works. It is tedious to install and remove the armour.Unless I'm riding to a situation where I want to be in normal clothes, my first choice for armour is to wear it in my riding jeans. I think the tight fit holds the pads in position better and I put far more faith in the kevlar liner in my riding jeans for slide protection.Comfort and fit: Thick and stiff. Bulky, saggy and not great to walk in. Weirdly snug across the upper pelvis (cause of the seam failure above and mentioned in my original review.) Wiggling these up and down make using cramped outhouses even less fun, might be a deal-breaker for any women contemplating these.None of that matters once you are on the road. Windproof, water-resistant, comfortable and fairly quick drying. No problem moving around on the bike from standing off-road to stretched out on highway pegs. The vents make it bearable when you or the temperature warm up. Too hot, even on the highway above about 25C.Pants fit fine over my Forma Swift Dry Urban Boots and my Icon Prep Boots. Unfortunately I have discovered I cannot close the ankle zips over my new Alpinestars Corozal Boots. Conclusions: I think these are good value and good performance for non-waterproof adventure style motorcycle overpants. I've traveled for weeks at a time in these in all weather, used them very hard and they have never let me down.I'd buy these again, even though they have doubled in price in the last 3 years BUT they don't fit over my new boots. Sadly, I have to try something else.--------------------------------------Original review:Took these for a ride last night, and loved them. No idea of how waterproof, safe or durable they will prove to be, but they felt good on the bike.I have doubts that the removable waterproof liner will last, it is pretty flimsy, and there is some shoddy stitching on one inseam, but for the price of 2 pairs of disposable Walmart jeans I'm willing to find out.Fit is a bit weird. I wear 3232 jeans. These are 32-34 waist, 34 leg. They are high waisted and tight across the front below the waist. I can fit them over jeans, but just. Lots of waist and leg room though.

These are great pants for riding--very sturdy and they fit well over shorts (I wear 40 waist short and the 42 pants fit well over my shorts). Great value for the money--I am very happy with the pants. The pants are very durable and will protect your legs from exhaust burns and abrasions (if you do down).A couple of things, however:--These are not pants made of ventilated fabric. They are solid fabric, but have one vent in each leg just above the knee. They are still comfortable for riding in the summer.--The inner lining that holds the knee and hip pads is a nuisance--heavy and bulky. I had my wife remove this liner (by cutting it away). The pants are now much easier to put on and take off. There are still pickets in the actual pants for knee pads if you feel the need for these.--I am not sure what anyone would do with the rain liner. However, it is zip-out so it can be easily removed. It is not as bulky as the inner liner, so keep it if you need it.Again--very nice quality pants and I am very pleased. Now I don't burn my burn scars from the muffler and the air cleaner on my Harley.

First of all, the workmanship and features for the price are hard to believe. They do run large if you're not going to wear them over pants. For example, I wear a 32/33 waist in jeans and the 30-32 waist fit perfect when not wearing over pants. The legs zip up nice and high to get your boots on, and fit tight around the boot. I wish a 30-32 pant with a 33" or 34" inseam was available, 32" is the longest in this size. They come with removeable hip and knee pads. I removed the knee pads and use knee guards under them. The vents are a nice feature, but the liner must be removed in order to get airflow. The liner is removeable down to the knees. The pockets are awesome. The waist straps work well and keep the pants tight. I wear them for for trail riding and they have held up well. Limbs and bushes will tear just about anything, so I wouldn't downgrade them for a tear. Overall I'd give them a 10 out of 10.

This the best value for money Item of motorcycle gear I have ever purchased. The pants are made of high quality materials, good stitching throughout, dead on sizing, great comfort. The specification does not mention the seat grabber material in the crotch area which was a bonus. All Velcro closures are of good quality and hold fast. I can’t quite figure out the thigh ventilation- not sure if they really intended for the thigh vent patch to bu tucked in behind the knee pads but that is a problem I will address in the summer. The rear zipper attaches to my fieldsheer adv jacket but is prone to loosening by itself as the zippers are from different manufacturers, I think I can fix this.I understand this is a promo development item - I will buy these pants again if the manufacturer adds a leather/sticky type patch to the inside of the knees for gripping the tank and frame when stand up riding. Please offer these in more colors and with options for less or no less reflective materials. I personally don’t like to be lit up that much and ride mostly dark colors. But no real complaints.

This is my second pair of HWK brand pants. The value of these are superb. The sizing is spot on for me. I’m 38-40 waist and 30 inseam in most pants. Not going to lie, my butt and thighs are big. Most regular cut pants fit me like skinny jeans. I went with 32 length and like it much better than the 30. (Less airflow up the leg)The zippers are big and useable with gloves on. The mesh panel on the thigh was one of the main reasons I went with these. I should be cooler while riding and fully protected. The soft fabric gusset on the waistline is super comfortable and minimizes the old plumbers’ crack/coin slot syndrome.Additionally there is a butt/seat/ass reinforcement that helps add a little friction to your seat. I won’t say it grips or sticks, but it minimizes your cheeks sliding around on the twisties and the uppy/downies.I did not get these for the warmth or water repellency, but you would be comfortable riding spring, summer and fall with these. There is a removable rain liner that should keep water out. (Remember there is a hidden mesh panel on the thighs so there are extra zippers and seams)Overall this is a great piece for newer riders or those that need some more specific or technical gear for rides.

These are a phenomenally great pair of motorcycle pants. I have no idea how they can sell these for the price and stay in business. I'm looking to replace my Olympia XMoto pants that sell for $350 and these come very close. There's some nice design touches to these. The waistband is tall, which is handy to support the weight of the pants. The front closes with a snap, and the sides snug up with a waistband strap with a velcro attachment. The front vents in the thighs are large and look like they'd be very functional. I'm not sure that outlining the opening in hi-vis yellow will be seen by motorists, but it looks nicely done. It seems like a quality design without even loose threads.Fit: this is where I feel it could use some improvement. I wear a 34-36 inch pant size, so that's what I ordered. With a pair of jeans on, they fit well in the seat...but trying to get my pant legs down in the HWK pant leg is tight. And the zipper is only up to the calf, not all the way down the side of the leg. Some motorcycle pants are designed to be worn over just your underwear, so I tried them like that. The legs feel snug, but okay. However, then the hip area is too large. You may have a different experience with a different size. These were 34-36 short. My advice would be to consider these as motorcycle pants that replace your jeans and order a waist size smaller than you normally wear. Like that, they'd be great.I did have one concern about the knee armor. When my legs are bent, the armor doesn't center on my knee. Would it be effective in a crash? There may have been some adjustment available, but I didn't notice it.
