Blower Motor Resistor Location
- In most modern vehicles, the blower motor resistor or control module is located inside the vehicle behind the passenger side of the dashboard. It is installed inside one of the ducts of the HVAC system, close to the blower motor.
- Therefore, we suggest that you also replace the blower while replacing the resistor.
- Please compare your old resistor, check the product appearance and part number to make sure this is the correct part you need!

Ordered this HVAC Blower Motor Resistor YH-1715 Compatible with Ford F-150 (2006) - for my truck.My HVAC fan blower would only work on high or nothing. Had checked many components and never figured it out. A mechanic friend advised it's probably the blower motor resistor not working correctly and at first I thought that was not the problem. He then took his 12 volt tester and checked. Advised it was actually bad, but works only on high. So I started shopping online, looking at various resistors for my truck and chose this one and ordered it. He stopped by after work and installed it. Now it works like it did when new. The fan works on every speed level and has since he installed. It looks just like my old OEM one and plugged right back into same (4) prong terminal. Happy with order

I dislike changing out blower motor resistors, but when they work, it is well worth the effort, especially on really hot and cold days. Although I find the job tedious, this blower motor worked like a charm and I now have all blower levels functioning again.If there isn’t a defect in the motor or wires and the resistor fails within an unreasonable time frame, I will update this review.
