The entire stand was out of square out of the box. it still holds all bits, so technically it works, but as a craftsman, it drives me insane every time I use it.

Sturdy, efficient. I put my most-often used drill bits in this storage container. I can buy more of this and put all my bits together and that will solve my problem with scattered drill bits. Awesome.

A compact and durable way to organize drill bits. Each hole is sized just slightly larger than the bit it's for. For example, a 1/4" bit slips easily (not snugly) into its hole, but will not go into the hole for 15/64". This also means that the organizer can be used as a gauge for drill bit size. You may find one almost exactly like this on Amazon that is painted blue. It's a beautiful color, and I might have liked to get it, but the numbers are simply white paint, which will wear with time. The case I am reviewing has perfectly embossed drill bit size numbers. It is all the same steel color. You can improve readability by putting a thin coat of black oil paint over the embossed numbers, wait less than a minute, and carefully / softly wipe off the excess paint. Paint stays behind in the embossed markings, improving readability. I used a small can of Rustoleum black, but I suspect any oil-based paint will do fine, with black being the most legible. It is probably not necessary, but if you have a humid environment, you can protect it from rusting using a product like BOESHIELD T-9 Rust & Corrosion Protection/Inhibitor and Waterproof Lubrication.I admit that I only just got this. However, it has solid construction and seems well made, and I doubt it will change much while I am alive, especially with rust protection.

This is a simple but solid product. Well made and I love how it organizes my bits where I can grab them quickly. I find it a bit hard to read the sizes, but I have bad eye sight. Very nice product

Works great and much easier to use (for stationary drill press only, of course). Tight tolerances so if you spin a bit in the chuck, you will have to dress it up a bit or it will not go back in proper hole. That is just the nature of the beast though.

These are great. Organizing your shop makes life so much more pleasant, but the organizers can be so pricey and making your own is just one more thing to do. This is an inexpensive but well made solution. I bought two and then bought another. They are steel, tough, and the holes are sized correctly for the bits. I just keep them on a shelf in a cabinet. They are light enough with the bits that you can easily take one out of the cabinet, put it on your workbench, grab what you need, and put it back when you are done. With multiple holders, I wound up with some empty places. You can store countersink bits or similar bits upside-down in any spare holes. I wish they had something similar for hex shank bits. Very happy I bought them.

AWESOME drill bit stand/index. I can't believe I got a stand this nice for the price. all Stainless riveted construction, easy to read, and the best of all American made! I buy a lot of tool organization products that are sadly foreign made just because they are superior to any others I can find. Not the case here.Unless you need a case / flip out holder you won't find better. This is perfect for the top lid of a tool chest or on a work bench. It can also be mounted to the side of something with screws, etc. Others reviews said it was hard to read, but for me it is very easy. I suppose it could be difficult for older people with poorer eyesight.
