This kit came in handy for mounting a set of horns this past winter. My husband shot a 7 pt buck and after the curing process and drying out, and whatever else he had to do with it, he mounted the horns on this plaque and hung it up in the porch area. We have Dasher, Dancer, Prancer and now Vixen mounted on the walls of the back porch!

The plaque looks nice but it isn't wood - it's compressed paper - basically cardboard. They want you to fasten the antlers with a flimsy, 5" aluminum strap. That's not long enough to get around my antlers. The instructions (see pic) aren't clear. Am I supposed to use the styrofoam behind the skull cap? It's not mentioned. Speaking of the skull cap, it's plastic. I'm supposed to trim openings carefully. 😊 It gets attached with two tiny, stick-on velcro dots. Save your money and buy something nicer.

This is for small racks…those you probably won’t want to get mounted. Little fork horn don’t fit.

I have used these mounts before, they look great but when trimming the covers it is very difficult to measure and cut around the antlers. I don't know how to remedy this problem but be prepared to spend some time and patience getting the right fit.

The plaque isn't even real wood, and just falls apart as you mount the hardware. Also, the "felt" cover is not felt but rather plastic garbage that is too small for any decent size antlers. I'd rate it at a zero if Amazon allowed anything lower than a one!

This product was garbage, very cheaply made, and there was no holes in the back for mounting on the wall. Stick with mountain mikes or something else don’t buy this.

First time I've used this antler mount. It looks pretty good. My only concern is that the skull cover pieces are a thin and flimsy plastic and it took me longer to fit it and make it look right than I was used to.

The plaque is made of pressed wood and was not what I expected. Would not mount a trophy deer on this plaque.Also I did not use the attachments.

Great kit to mount my son's first buck. It was a 2 year old buck with the antlers broken off. But my son is 6, I had to do something for his first deer. It is a little hard to get the center cover piece cut just right

When the mounts came in the general post I was pretty pleased after inspection to find they were firstly undamaged and secondly of pretty decent quality. I've used this product in the past and was very pleased with the results before. I'm glad some things don't change.
