Did not work with my older unit, which could not be updated. Card appeared to worki in another Humminbird unit of a friends. Unfortunately do not live in area for which the card was purchased for, so return time expired prior to determining the non-usability.

After updating the software on my Helix 5, I tried multiple times to load Lakemaster Louisiana Delta. I finally called Hummingbird tech support. After about 45 minutes, I learned that the Helix 5 has a software glitch that prevents loading the new chip. I was told that developers were working on a solution that would be released in 2021. The Hummingbird rep informed me that my only option available is to wait until an corrective update is released. I did not purchase the chip from Amazon, but wish I had because I am now stuck with something I can't use until Hummingbird fixes the problem.

The background color makes it very difficult to view bayous, canals, channels etc. The contours view etc. are only available in the plus version according to Hummingbird, which they don't let you know. Should have gone with Garmin or Lowrance with the Navionics mapping instead of the Hummingbird Helix 5 Chirp GPS. Disappointed in the purchase.

Works great in my Helix 7. Good detailed view of the Louisiana marsh. Love the red outline of land on the overlay. Highly recommended...esp over a $500 standard mapping chip.
