This is twice as wide as the cork on any trombone mute I own, twice as tall, and twice as thick. I was expecting something about a quarter inch by a quarter inch by about 1.5 inches. Instead, the corks are about three inches long, about half an inch wide, and only 3mm thick.They *might* be acceptable for a cup mute if you want to get approximately zero sound out of the horn, but the only way you can realistically use these on any trombone mute would be if you folded it in half and glued it together.
