We purchased one of these back in February of 2023, and it came with soft copper lugs (but the set-screws were steel).One of the lugs had gotten stripped out during the installation process, and went unnoticed for about a year and a half.Recently, our equipment began intermittently losing power, and we tracked it down to a loose connection inside of the plug.After searching for an alternative plug of the same style to no avail, we ordered another one of these, expecting to have to replace it again in another year and a half, however to our surprise, not only was it cheaper this time, this one came with steel lugs!We're very pleased with the upgrade, and we expect this version of the plug to last much longer.If this plug fails at some point, I'll be sure to update this review.

We use 480 volt 3 phase on construction sites to run our high cycle saws, drills and grinders. These plugs hold up really well and don't come apart in use.

I conduct maintenance at an aluminum boat building company and the welding machines use this plug. I have tried other brands of plugs but none compare with the Hubbell plug. These out last any other plug out there. The design for installation is the best.
