I used in a rental house, on a range vent that was installed in the 1950's...I first tried Mean Green, of which I swore by, and then the Purple Blaster. On this item there was NO contest, the Purple Blaster totally won, some of the heaviest caked grease require a second spray and allowed to soak a little. But in the end it worked when the other didn't, Mean Green just became my 2nd best friend for heavy duty cleaning!!
