One of the best tools in my arsenal. Had to deal with a stubborn hub removal, and this tool made it a breeze. 3 hits with the sledge and the Hub was loose. Im not a professional mechanic, but a weekend wrencher, but I could see how this could have a place in any auto shop.

I bought this to do a wheel bearing on a Subaru Outback, which are notoriously hard to remove and likely the worst of all hub assemblies for rust welding.I'll preface by saying I also used none of the included hardware. Some reviews have complaints about the included nuts and I just pushed out all of the studs and used 2-1/2" 1/2" bolts, washers and nuts, all grade 8. I hammered away at it for about an hour with a 12lb sledge with the tool pointed downward, but all I succeeded in doing was bending the hub. This needs to be hit with the tool facing upward if you have a hub that's really stuck. You also need to support the knuckle from the bottom so the blows are directed at the hub and not the suspension. There was absolutely no sign of it giving even a millimeter, and then a couple whacks later it was off of the car.Bottom line: this is a TOUGH tool that'll take a ton of abuse, literally. Buy grade 8 bolts and washers and nuts and throw away the nuts that come with it. There are hardened faces welded to the tool where you strike it. Mine are practically flattened, if you look at the pictures. This thing is a beast.

I can't believe I've waited this long to get one. For $44.00 it saved me so much time it paid for itself on the first bearing. I definitely recommend this. Even if you only use it once. Seems to be of decent quality. Good assortment of mounting nuts. I've done 6 bearings so far and as good as the first time I used it.

After struggling for days using every technique I could find, I finally stumbled upon this gem. It knocked those stubborn hubs out in minutes. So if you are stuck with stuck hubs, don’t hesitate. Well made tool and well worth the money. The ONLY issue is with the supplied nuts and washers. Not only did none of the supplied nuts fit the lug nuts to my vehicle (2005 Nissan Titan) , the required washers given were junk. I don’t understand why such a heavy duty well made tool would come with junk fasteners that you need to replace. I wound up messing up a lug nut because of the soft washers giving in. I still recommend this tool. But please be aware, as others have reviewed, you will need to get better hardened nuts and washers to take the pounding needed to knock out the hubs.

Used this tool to remove rusted 185k wheel bearings off my 14 year old Subaru. Thank youWorked perfectly. Lots of pounding but it came off

I tried this on the rear hub assemblies of a 2018 Crosstrek. The best it could do is loosen the hub from the bearing . I then had to remove the knuckle from both sides to extract the bearing assembly. It did not save me time on this particular vehicle.

I’m not one to post reviews, but felt this one was worth it. If anyone owns a Subaru, then it’s well known that the wheel hubs are notorious for being difficult to remove - Mine is a 2014 Crosstrek, which I purchased new and now have 180k miles. Anyway, this tool removed the bearing in two whacks with a sledgehammer. To say I was shocked is an understatement, you can see how rusty the old bearing is. I recommend this product highly. The only downside is the washers and lug nuts provided are worthless, so you will need to get different ones.
