I just replaced the old card in my HP4050n with this one, took all of a minute to do. This newer card even added Bonjour support for this printer which the old card didn't have. Maybe I'll get another 18 years out of this printer!

I was using a parallel cable on this old laserjet printer. The data transfer was painfully slow. Looked into how to add a network port to the printer and found this item, J3113A. It was delivered in a timely manner, packaged nicely even though it was used (Government surplus or something?), and the 3 jumpers on the board seemed to be in the correct location according to the online manual for this print server card. I inserted the card into the EIO slot on the printer, plugged in a RJ45 network cable that was connected to my switch, turned it on, printed the diagnostics info page by pressing a combo of printer buttons, all looked good, and it listed the IP address my router gave the printer. Went to two Windows 10 computers, added the printer quickly and easily by searching for it by IP address on my network. Done. Fast. Happy.

Easy to pull the old one and install this one. Our original was 1998 and recently failed when a static charge hit the router. I forgot to put surge suppression on the CABLE line that feeds the modem/router. This was so easy to pull out and put in the new one. Unfortunately now, HP makes this network circuitry part of the motherboard. WAY expensive and difficult to replace. That is one reason we keep this old printer going. Item arrived earlier than expected so, yay! for that as we needed the printer.

This is was a second jet direct card I purchased to install into a hp compatible printer. The first card I purchased from another supplier and it was installed and connected to my network in about 10 minutes. This network card I purchased in April and has consumed about 5 hours of hours of my time researching the web and tinkering without any success. Recently, I decided to try again; however, this time I installed it into a laser jet 2300 which has an LED display. At the completion of the boot up process, I instanteously received a 81.0180 EIO 1 ERROR message, which according to some message board postings means the card is malfunctioning. Unfortunately, my window of opportunity for returning this card is over.Unsatisfied Quick Buy 1 Customer

I bought my HP Laserjet 4050 almost 15 years ago and it is still chugging along. The model I bought did not have a network card (at the time my home computer system did not have a network). Later, when it would have been useful to have a network card, they were too expensive. But now that they are available at such a low price (I paid $5.00 including shipping!) it makes no sense _not_ to buy one. So I did.I put it into my old HP 4050 and it worked like a charm. No more being dependent on a parallel cable!

Very useful when having several PC to connect to the same printer.A bit tricky to configure though (documentation is not very clear). You have to create a new local printer and create a port TCP/IP with printer IP address you can get by printing a test page once the module is installed in the printer.

I bought a used LaserJet 2100 and needed to connect it to my home network. It didn't come with a JetDirect card, so I needed to find one, and this looked like the best option. When I got it the grey cylinder capacitor on it was damaged, but the seller promptly helped me and we got the issue resolved. The card was easy to setup on my network. Just go to the IP address of the card, use its web interface to set up the parameters for your network, and then download or install it in Windows using the driver (it downloaded automatically for me in Windows 7). Once it's setup there isn't much really that involves the JetDirect. It hasn't failed or stopped working, so as long as it keeps doing its job I'm happy.

I have an HP LaserJet 2100M that has soldiered on without issue since Y2K. Recently I needed to network this printer, so I purchased the J3113A card. There are only a couple of issues I had with this card: The first was needing to change the card's configuration to remove a previously-entered static IP address and instead to use DHCP. This was fairly straightforward to do - simply hold the printer reset buttons. The other issue is that the card has a web-based interface that clearly shows its age. It is not accessible via Macintosh browsers. This isn't too much of a surprise since the printer itself is almost 15 years old. After setting up DHCP there was nothing more I needed to do to get this printer working with my various different operating systems. Well worth the money spent.

I wanted a print server for my HP500 large format printer but the cost seemed prohibitive, then I saw this at less than £20, it seemed to good to be true. BUT IT WASN'T. It arrived within a couple of days and worked straight out of the box. FANTASTIC.

This device was exactly as advertised; New and unused OEM JetDirect card. Excellent price and very fast delivery. Installation and setup was a breeze, taking less than 5 minutes from installation, through configuration to printing across my network from multiple workstations. Excellent seller and excellent product. I highly recommend this seller. If you are looking for a network printing solution for your legacy HP printer, this is the place to go.
