The printer is worthless for printing pictures. It smears the pictures so bad that you can’t even recognize what it’s supposed to be

I was lost when my printer broke, and decided to get the same model as a refreshed one from Amazon. I knew it was compatible with my laptop. After doing some research I found that not all of the new printers will work with an older laptop, not that mine was all that old but I did not want to take a chance, since I have to have a working printer. This is a reliable printer and does everything I personally need on a weekly basis. It is so easy to set up, you will love it as much as I have. One drawback is that HP no longer supports scanning to a computer or or laptop, so if that is important to you pass this one up.

I purchased this remanufactured from Image Warehouse for $99.95. It is a good value at less than half of the price at retail. They did a good job inspecting and conditioning. There were no visible imperfections and everything appears to function as expected. The packaging was solid and all movable parts were taped down before the printer was bagged, wrapped, packed in a heavy double-walled box.it arrived in excellent condition. The HP Smart app and Print Plugin were quick installs to my Chromebook and Android phone. Everything seems to work, though the Chromebook gives a compatibility warning because it is designed for a tablet. The app makes it easy to set up the printer and enroll in Instant Ink, which you will probably want since it is reported to be a bit of acartridge hog. PRO TIP: REGISTER FOR AN HP ACCOUNT BEFORE YOU RECEIVE THE COMPUTER. THEY WILL SEND YOU A $10 CREDIT FOR INSTANT INK.It is too soon for me to assess the ink usage. The print quality seems good. I printed an 8x10 photo that was a screen shot of a video I received via text... In other words, not great resolution and not a good test, but it was as clear as it was on my screen.I rarely purchase extended warranties, but 4 years for $14 is cheap piece of mind.I may have updates later, but so far I am looking my investment and glad to be saving money while slightly downsizingy environmental footprint.

I've gotten pretty good at searching for stuff in Amazon. I'm currently working from home due to an accident and have assembles a pretty awesome work area. I needed a new printer as my work horse HP8600 has seen better days. I found parts to fix it but then came across this printer. This little gem turned out to be an awesome find! It does everything that I need and is working flawlessly. The footprint is fairly small but don't let that fool you. I also got this on sale as a renewed however I believe I received a brand new product by the way it was packaged. It was both cellophane and plastic bag wrapped and looked as factory brand new! Total score. The printing is clean and clear and it just plain works. I added it to my HP app without any problems and easily connected it to my home internet and off I go. I liked it so much that I purchased a second one for my daughter and her husband. A huge plus was the price, normally its like $250 bucks and I scored it for 90... can't beat that!

1st of all HP likes HP rather than other name brands. This printer is super easy to set up and use. I didn't get a quick start guide with mine but I never needed it as it was so easy to set up. Just plug it into a safety strip that you computer should also be on due to power surges, (I'd be more concerned about the PC than the printer), WI-FI it with the same name and PW on your computer. You will likely be prompted to download & install the most current printer drivers for this model. Don't forget to install your ink cartridges - This is a really nice feature since it has the black and color inks all separate instead of 1 black and 1 tri-color cartridge and will save you paying for your already low priced HP Printer again & again in wasted ink, you replace only the colors you use and I strongly recommend a print test which the printer should do automatically but if it doesn't open MS Word or a graphics program and create you own print test by copying the same line over and over, just change the colors for example "this is a print test" line by line in various colors. It's very easy to add the printer to your computer, just go to the main settings, then to printer, the rest is self explanatory. It also has scanning, copying & FAX capabilities in addition to just printing. If it defaluts to photo printing you've done this correctly as it is a photo printer and in this case I strongly recommend high end photo paper. I also accommodates various weights of card stock without any adjustments. Yes, you can change the rez of your photos. Personally, I always keep them high; the photos will print so much nicer. If you are using your PC more as a business machine you can change this setting within the apps like Word, Excel, etc. You can also opt for black & white or grayscale if you're not printing a lot of color pages. Good Luck...give me a holla if you need me randrew2016@yahoo.com and there's always YouTubes available to help you. Super easy, excellent price with great results!!

I found it cheaper when Costco put it on sale. Theirs was not refurbished. That being said, after years of putting up with the poor software of brother printer, I decided that the quality and ease of use for an HP was, once again, worth the extra cost for the ink refills. The ink that came with it ran out pretty quickly. I bought XL ink from Costco on sale. Should last a lot longer. The set up was a breeze. Bluetooth works well and without errors. The app is pretty good. Few missing print options that I wish it had. But I have them via my laptop if I need them. I print from all my devices, iPhone, iPad MacBook. I can even ask alexa to print things for me. The HP software is worth the extra cost. It scans well. Scans to file, emails. The photo printing is so good. The color display is a little small for my stubby round fingers but it all works well. The measurements here confused me. I worried it was much taller than my space available. It was just fine.
