It is super slow, it takes forever if you print anything 24ā. I have printed couple stuffs and already out of ink! I always read the reviews before I buy anything on Amazon and this was the only time I was super disappointed! This printer worth no more than $500. I am thinking to return mine and get a different brand

I recently bought this plotter for a specific job on the go. It was very quick to set up. The unpacking and set up instructions were clear. I'm only running it as a wifi printer so far, but it was easy to set up. Integrated very well with the 2 programs I was looking for. Sucks back the ink as they are small cartridges so make sure you have plenty on hand for your jobs. All in all a very nice product for the price point

Had a few issues aligning the single paper feed, but eventually it took when I used a more sturdy and appropriate paper. The paper Roll was a better choice, it automatically just cuts the paper into alignment....The ink ran out fast but then again I was printing pretty huge color images. My larger digital flower painting printed out pretty good, and not bad when compared to the smaller more professional prints. Probably not the best for fine art but if you have some tricks up your sleeve, a little patients you can make it work. Not all fine art will look good with this printer, you just have to be able to see with one will. Overall I'd say its a good investment and I'm still seeing what I can do with it.. love it.

As an owner of a small Interior Design office I use it for all my project drawings, revisions etc from 11x17 to 18 x 24 and 24x36 which is about 98% of the sizes I use. Black and white or in amazing colour when you want the details clearer for the owners and contractors. I was a bit worried that my ink might smear but Using HP ink 712 as advised I have had no issues everything has work out well and if allows be to look as professional as my drawings. I love the ability to print in a number of smaller sizes as well even without the paper feeder by hand feeding in the smaller paper, BUT I DID order the accessory sheets feeder because its faster to do a full set quickly without standing there. Yes you can print from your iPad as well.Computer to printer set up was a very easy step by step process so I did it myself with the HP printer app.My husband had to help me move it around as it is substantial 28KG in the box but it wasn't any heavier than the 6 year old wide format 11x17 printer that it replaced which I also had to have him remove. If you are tired of sending out your larger drawings to printing companies and not always loving the quality or the prices. you may want to consider the HP T230, It has been a great investment for me without breaking the bank. The print quality is as good as if not better than when I send them out. And even calculating in the ink cost and the different papers and sizes, I am saving my clients money with every set printed. Which makes me look like a super star and who doesn't like that!

I run a commercial printing company and needed a quick and cheap solution to printing standard ARCH D size (24 x 36) technical drawings and plans. I took a shot on this printer and it has not disappointed. I have fulfilled a number of orders for sets of plans and drawings and even printed some photo quality prints for a non-profit. The machine has already paid for itself 2x over in just a month of use. The print quality is what you can expect from an inkjet printer in this price range and ink cartridge life seems to be pretty good. I have only had to replace the Black and Yellow introductory cartridges that came with the unit so far, and I have put over 500 ARCH D prints through the thing since buying it.I did have a board failure when a power spike occurred at the store during a storm, but HP support came out within 2 days to replace the board and I have had no problems since. So its fast, easy to use, economical and does exactly what I need it to do to make me $$$. Two thumbs way up.

I have been pining for a plotter for years and this unit is awesome. Great value for the money and is everything I could have asked for. Super quiet and I have already gone through a 150' foot roll of paper, dozens of 11x17 sheets and I am still just on my starter print cartridges. So I would say that I am going to be really happy with the print cartridge to paper ratio. My experience with HP customer service was not great setting it up as I had a really odd exhibit that I just could not get rotated and had to cut the excess paper off by hand. That was truly frustrating but so far it is the only file / exhibit that has had that issue.I also purchased the multi feeder for single sheets. A really great option if you need it. When I meet clients on site I share the 11 x 17 which are not to scale but provide a "picture" for them to understand the site.In addition to the multi sheet feeder I also purchased the stand which is great if you need a place to put your plotter on but the sheet catcher is really BAD. It is basically a piece of fabric with a bar that catches what is printed but it does not collate the pages. So you are left with rolled up sheets that you have to collate by hand. So the stand is great but the sheet catcher needs more work in my opinion. The touch screen is very small but amazingly dynamic. I would be very surprised if this is not a product enhancement in future models. It actually plays videos of tasks right on the screen so you can make sure you are reloading the rolled paper for example corretly. Finally, anything that requires large numbers of copies or exact scalability I still send to my printer. My choice but I think if you are submitting plans to a Municipality this should be part of your consideration.I have not plotted anything in color on glossy paper to see what a "poster" would look like but my guess is that it would be really great as the color 11 x17 at the lowest print quality are far better than any HP desket that I have ever owned.
