I'm happy I went with stainless steel instead of plastic. It's easier to sanitize, because less scratches means less places for undesirable microbiota to hide. The bulb is hard to use because it's pretty thick, but the trade off is that it will last a long time. With the bulb volume, you can theoretically get 125 mL, but the best I could draw was 85-95 mL. I got best results from pushing the bulb completely down from the top with my palm. I look forward to using, and reusing, this for a long time. Idk why the seller wants to rate "sheerness". It's obviously very shiny. Everything is chrome in the future.

Excellent for 3 gallon carboy and bigger

Nice design and easy to clean. Leaks just a bit but so much less than any plastic three piece I've used. I'd guess a hose clamp at the base of the bulb would fix that and still be easy to take apart. I'm very happy with it.

Good Quality, I only gave 4 stars because the rubber part is a little small compared to the steel tube.

Essentially this is a extra long stainless steel turkey baster. I bought this so I could easily reach into a 6 gallon carboy and take samples of my aging sour beers. This makes it easy to reach down deep and grab a decent sample. In that respect, 5 stars. However, the rubber bulb on the end isn't fixed nor is there really any design that keeps in place like a 'normal' baster of this style, so, if you're not careful, the stainless tube may separate from the rubber bulb and fall apart. This appears to be a design issue as after examination there are no torn, missing or damaged parts. Is it amazing? Not really. Does it work as intended? Mostly. Would I return it? No. It works well enough and meets my specific needs.
