Nice bright light but limited battery run time and VERY sensitive to low temperatures. After 14 months of use the recharge plug broke on one of my two units.

This is a great light for the price. The battery life isn't the best, and it's not the fastest to recharge, but it gets the job done. The reason for not five stars is the side light being on the same side as the power button. I purchased these for doing some electrical work, seven days straight, and it never failed that several times per day I'd be wanting to turn the thing off, using my thumb on the power button, and give myself a blast of light in the face, then hit it again in reaction to try to get the light off, but that only switches it to the flashing light in the face before a second press gets you back to off.I don't know how water proof these would really be, as the charging cover is a bit flimsy, so I just ripped them off rather than have that nuisance to plug the charge cable in since I'm not using these near water anyway.

I like that it's small and handy but tough quality of material.
Very poor quality, missing the usb charging port.

I got this flashlight to replace an old one that the batteries had disintegrated in. The flashlight worked, but the batteries were dead and fused to the inside. I then found this flashlight and it had all the same features as the old one, except it was much much better. The beam is like a spotlight (focused into a circle). It lights evenly and better yet, it is USB rechargeable. NO batteries. It's nicely made. The only thing is that there is a pocket clip that comes off easily, but that's no big for me. Very reasonable price. I'm very pleased.

PROS:- There are two in the box; a great value at $26.99.- Each comes with a rechargeable 3.7V 1200 mAh Li-Ion 18650 battery (the “protected” kind - with button top). Again, a great value.- Can be recharged without removing the battery, using the included micro-USB cables.- Can also be powered by three AAAs, using the included adapter.- The threads of the aluminum housing and end cap which unscrews to remove the battery are well machined.- The aluminum housing feels substantial and has squarish, slightly raised bits at the switch and, on opposite side, at the micro-USB port; this prevents it from easily rolling off, say, a table.- The end cap incorporates a magnet strong enough to securely mount it on a vertical metal surface (see photo).- The pre-mounted pocket clip is secure yet simple to remove.- The push/pull of the lens forward and back to zoom between spot and flood is an easy, one-handed, thumb-and-index-finger operation.- Two light sources: out the end, and side-mounted chip-on-board (COB) worklight.- On/Off switch intuitively lights up green when in use, flashes red when charging, and goes static green when fully charged.- Pressing the On/Off switch once turns it On to Bright mode; repeat presses then cycle through the other three modes to Dim, COB, flashing SOS – and then Off.- When On in any mode, pressing and holding the On/Off switch for little more than one second immediately turns the thing Off, eliminating the need to cycle all the way through other modes before ending at Off. Brilliant.NOT REALLY CONS, but things I wish were different:- The included 18650 batteries are only 1200 mAh – about as low a current capacity as is made. I would prefer a higher capacity so that the battery can last longer before needing recharging. If/when these stop holding a charge, I’ll probably go with cost effective 2600 mAh or 3500 mAh batteries.- It seems the user manual was written in Chinese then poorly machine translated and not cleaned-up. A proper re-write would be helpful.- It boasts “2,000 lumens brightness.” I suspect that is not the case, but I question most flashlight lumen ratings out there. More useful would be to list candela rating. (The whole footcandles-lumens-candela-lux explanation is more than this review can handle.) However, my Streamlight Strion LED HL measure 615 lumens (the measurement of the total energy output from a source of light) and 12,000 candela (the measurement of how intense or focused a light output is). And it is far more powerful a light than these are. Nevertheless, these Hoxida flashlights are quite bright and are a great value.

Order these lights for work. We have used similar lights in the past and the magnet and size are just awesome.Right out of the package we had some difficulty getting one of the batteries to charge. We swapped this battery between the light bases but could never get it to charge. I contacted the seller.Seller responded very quickly and offered to send a full replacement light at no charge. We however were able to throw this battery into an old light of similar make and it started charging. All three are working great now, so we no longer need a replacement. Wanted to be sure to leave a great review for Jamie! 10/10 customer service. Nice to know there's good people out there! Cheers.

UPDATE July 2023: Have been using the two flashlights regularly for 2+ years now. Leaving my original 5-star rating intact. Though, the rubber flap that protects the USB charging port on one of the flashlights broke off. A piece of tape now protects the port from dust and stuff, decent enough solution. Also, the battery on the most-used flashlight has dwindled a bit, not bad after 2 years of use and frequent recharging. I can get a replacement 18650 battery at the local hardware store for $10. Simple unscrew cap, remove, replace. Ding ding ding. One feature I especially appreciate is the adjustable beam / focus. It’s simple single hand operation, so using just your thumb you can adjust from close-up floodlight to long-distance spotlight, like 100+ yards. Very useful on the occasions I’ve been out at night looking for my cat after the little devil managed to squirt out the door.Just the other day I thought, maybe it’s time for a new flashlight. I looked at high priced models $80 to $120 only to find that adjustable beam is not available! I realized this pair of flashlights does everything I want very nicely, with ideal size and weight. A sound purchase.ORIGINAL: I've been happy with these over 11 months of use while camping and for household / garage use. I use one of the pair just about every day. The beam is impressively bright and casts a surprisingly long distance. The distance adjustability is very easy and valuable. That clever light on the side has been useful for hands-free operation in a few cases. They've proven durable with no problems. I dropped them once or twice but no damage. Nice and sturdy, and an ideal size. Recharge is easy via the USB port, which is protected by a rubber flap that seems a little flimsy and prone to breakage, but it's been fine. In my garage, the magnet at the end lets me hang a flashlight up from a small piece of steel I put in place just for that purpose. The flashlight will power off with a long press of the power button... I didn't realize that for a few months; if it was in the sparse instructions I missed it. Otherwise you click through 4 times to turn it off. The long press is a handy feature to note if you decide to buy these.

Very good sturdy solid torch. Easy to Charge and very good light. Very disappointed with them not being waterproof. Had one clipped to the outside of the tent, pointing downwards. It rained, not very heavily but water built up inside the movable/extendable head piece until it filled up to reach the internal battery and shorted. The torch no longer works
