JUNK!!!!!! Read the reviews. The reports are correct that this item, often times, arrives with a charging issues. It will turn on when plugged into power but not when unplugged. This is my second one and both did the same thing. I should have read the reviews first. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!

Hoverboard has held up well - charging takes several hours(6-7 hrs) but decent run time. Kiddo uses this indoors only even though its rated for outdoors so your experience may vary.Bluetooth works as well.Has 90 day manufacturer warranty!

Super frustrating! We purchased the first one, charged it until the light was green. Unplugged the charger and the hoverboard still wouldn’t turn on. The only time it turned on was when it was plugged into the charger. So we reached out to Amazon, and they sent out a replacement. We got the replacement, plugged it in, charged it until the light was green and it won’t turn on either. The replacement one is broke just like the first one! I reached out to the company, but I haven’t heard anything back yet, not even a confirmation that they received my complaint. Super frustrating especially when you’re buying it specifically for your kid (because the weight limit is something like 165lbs just an FYI) and they’re broken. If I hear back from the company within the next couple of days then I will update my review. But as it stands I would say: STAY FAR AWAY! There’s no guarantee any of them will work on arrival. Better to buy another brand altogether if you want to err on the side of caution because all of these have their QC stickers on them like they have been tested and approved by someone in their quality control team. Idk what’s going on where they build these but something is obviously wrong if we keep getting broken or dead ones and they’ve ‘passed’ their quality control test.

January '21::1 week review::This is our second attempt at a Hover-1 brand hoverboard for my boy-kid (10 years old). We at first tried to find another Allstar because that his sister has one and hers has been fantastic so far (1 month). But unfortunately the one we did happen to find had a glitch, and we had to return it, and since it's now right after Christmas, we couldn't find another one in stock that wasn't purple (we know it's just a color, but he wanted one that didn't look like his sister's). So, since this Helix one looks so cool online (white/black camo and seriously it looks just as good in person) we got it. I didn't even pay attention to the fact that it has Bluetooth—nifty, but unnecessary. When we got it, it worked straight out of the box, although the right foot pad seems to stick/click when he first steps onto it. I'm scared this will cause problems in the near future, but since the board still works like it should, my son doesn't want to return it b/c he waited long enough to find one that works. These are very intuitive to use, and we all figured out how to balance and roll within just a few minutes. While it's disappointing that the weight limit (160 lb) isn't as hefty as the Allstar (220 lb)—me and his father can't ride on it—boy-kid is happy with it, and that's all that matters. Plus, we still have his sister's Allstar to use when we have the urge.I'm just hoping that the crunching noise his foot pad makes doesn't turn into a catastrophic failure. It's a quirk he says he can live with. The speakers are plenty loud, although very muffled sounding. I don't see that as something he will use very often. The unit beeps and then silences (same beeps as it does when it reads a fault) if he goes full speed, and we haven't figured out what that is from yet. I read other reviews that said theirs beeped constantly, and hopefully this one does not develop that habit.Overall, I recommend this brand, now that we have 2 different styles of Hover-1.

This board worked for all of 30 mins and was our daughters big gift this Christmas. We went through support to troubleshoot the problems and sent them several videos of how it was not working and then they just stopped responding. I was happy we bought it on Amazon and were able to facilitate a return and order a different brand.

I ordered this for my 4 year old grandson for his birthday present. He had ridden one a friend owned and he really wanted his own. He was so excited when it arrived he almost couldn't contain himself. It came with a full charge and he was able to ride it right out of the box, so Mom let him give it a go inside before she set up the blue tooth apps on her phone. After he had spun it around the carpet a few times, she set out to download apps. It turns out there are 2 apps to download, not just one. One controls the lights and music while the other is the mode settings for beginner, intermediate and advanced. These were fairly easy to set up once she realized there were 2 separate apps and not just the one. It wasn't long before he was riding around like a pro. He wears his bike helmet for safety outside. The different modes max out the speed it can go so he rides in beginner mode which tops out at about 4-4.5 mph. His older brother rode it in advanced and got it up to 10.7 mph so it is possible to get it going faster than the 9 mph listed on the box, tho not prudent to go any faster than you are comfortable going. My oldest grandson face-planted after trying to slow down from his little zoomfest ... good thing he knew how to Parkour roll and didn't break anything!

Im 40 i have no idea what these were. Reviews had me scared. My 6year old got for his birthday was a pro in an hour. My 12 year old was jealous took her two hours. My 4 year old learned in 1.5 hours and my two year old just walked over and rode it to the kitchen. All the kids love it. Takes 6 hours to charge for 1hr ride time. Thats fine wish it was better though. But is good for kids all ages. From 30lbs to 150. My wife gets on it and she has trouble but it rolls her around. 3 months in and not one trouble. Kids oddly love music playing from it. Really is worth it. Now i have to get more for xmas lucky me! Update a year later this thing is still going strong for all and now i have 3. They have lost some interest but when they do grab it they go after it. Even better if you have big open space to ride. If you have small area may want to consider an outside toy.
