Barely adequate. Like a pocket thesaurus. It was over priced too. Still had the $2.99 price sticker from Half Price books on the cover

I love doing crosswords and my old Thesaurus simply fell apart. I am delighted with this book because it seems even better than my old copy.

i got this book to replace an ancient thesaurus, which is in pieces , held together with duct tape. i have since gone back to my old one, the format in the new one changed, its terrible.

どんな基準で見出し語選択したのか記載されてないのですが、Barron1100やWordSmartレベルを含んだ上下にわたるレベルの語彙２００００語ほどの見出しで一語一語、語彙定義と同類語、参照後、関連イディオムなど解説したThesaurusです。AmericanHeritage辞典同様の紙質で軽いですから、１２００ページあっても片手で持って重さを感じません。受験英語を脱した英語学習者、TOEFL英検志願者には強く薦めます。Oxford Dictionary of Synonyms and Antonyms に雰囲気はほとんど似ていますが、語彙のレベルがはるかに超えています。

My wife is very disappointed with the New Thesaurus 3rd edition that we purchased it is nothing like the old one that we had, it doesn't have as many words and is totally unsuitable.

I have a relative who was an editor for a magazine in her time, she had a really old edition of Roget's Thesaurus. I wanted to surprise her & boy was she thrilled! She skimmed through it & now months later has still thanked me for it! She is the true reviewer but her excitement for this series in particular makes me rate it a 5 STAR!
