Instructions:
1. Only get Hotfix Rhinestone GLASS Crystals. DO NOT USE ON ACRYLIC OR PLASTIC STONES.
2. Place the stones on the working material with glue side down.
3. Turn on the switch to start the Batteries.
4. Hold it like a pencil, pressing down the small blue button with index finger. Once pressed, the light will turn on indicating heating of tip has started.
5. Wait about 10 seconds for tip to get heated up.
6. Arrange the stones in desired pattern with crystal side up.
7. Use applicator tip directly on the crystal part of the stones(Flat part for bigger stones and side grooved part for tiny stones). Wait 2-4 seconds. Glue melts when heat is applied
8. Wait few seconds for the stone to get cold.
Caution and Warnings:
1. Always test the stones on inconspicuous area like inside seam or small swatch, to avoid material wastage.
2. The Tip of the tool and stones get very HOT. DO NOT touch with bare fingers right after application.Wait few minutes after they cools down or use tweezers to check.
3. Use only Alkaline Batteries. Never mix old and new batteries.
4. Not intended for kids.

Bought this at Hobby Lobby, came here to see if there were better instructions. Nope it just doesn't work.Left it on for about 10 minutes, tried different batteries - nothing we did could get this thing to even heat up.The dot gems by the same brand work just fine if you use the rounded tip of a wood burning tool for between 5 to 7 Seconds though!

I bought one of these from hobby lobby, put two new sets of batteries in it and it doesn’t work. What a piece of junk. The blue part gets hot but it doesn’t do anything. Huge waste of money.

It is not very ergonomic. Takes forever to heat up and heat the gems to adhere them. Had to return it.
