My son loves dinosaurs and hot wheels so this was the perfect gift. He is 7 and put it together in a few minutes without the directions.

Oh my gosh this is awesome! Super fun for a 3-4 year old who is obsessed with dinosaurs and cars! good quality and easy to put together. Durable because you know how rough kids can be. it's outlasted a birthday party of boys and just as feral girls. everyone loved it.

The Hot Wheels T-Rex Blaze Battle Set is a fun toy that my 6 year old and 3 year old sons have enjoyed playing with. Here’s my quick list of pros and cons for the item.Pros:- Easy to put together. The item had a small set of stickers to put on, but otherwise it was just snapping the playset together. The entire process took less than 15 minutes.- The playset isn’t huge like some of the other Hot Wheels playsets, so it’s not quite as big of an issue to store away when the kids aren’t playing with it.- The design is neat and the kids really enjoy battling and defeating the T-Rex.- There are multiple “endings” to the car launches. The first ending results in the Hot Wheels car being eaten by the dinosaur, and then pooped out. The next ending results in the car passing through the T-Rex and being routed out of the playset through a gas station. The final ending results in the T-Rex being defeated and saving Hot Wheels City. These multiple endings allow the kids to utilize their imagination to a greater extent as they’re playing with the set.- No crazy noises with this set, pretty much just from the car on the tracks. The launcher even has a silicone pad on it to reduce the smacking noise when launching cars down the track.Cons:- The launcher takes a very specific amount of force to launch the cars right. Too much? The car flies off the tracks. Not enough? It goes part way up the track and then rolls back down. This isn’t unusual for Hot Wheels City toys, but this playset in particular seems to be worse than others. It doesn’t have a very forgiving range of force that will make it work, so my kids have a hard time playing with it without getting frustrated.- There is a gate at the service station exit that pops off very easily. In the few days my kids have been playing with the toy, it’s spent more time off of it than where it’s supposed to be.Overall I think it’s still a fun playset and my kids have enjoyed it so far. The small acceptable range of force required to get the car through the track is pretty disappointing though, as my kids have a hard time playing with the set because of it. For that reason, I’ll give it 3/5 stars and would only recommend for older kids who can understand the need to adjust launch force.
