This is a really nice figurine for the cost.Are the details completely accurate and perfect? Probably not. Does it look good and is it solidly built? Yes.For the few bucks I paid for it, it's definitely a good buy for a little desk toy or small gift for a kid.

A great little toy at a reasonable price, the TIE Fighter is probably my favorite of the four I have of this brand (this, two X-wings, one open and one closed wing, and the Millenium Falcon). The wings are plastic and the center body is metal; the wings might eventually break if a small child plays with it roughly but it's not flimsy and it has a nice texture; I bought it as a desk ornament and it's wonderfully detailed for that purpose given its low price.Size-wise, it's not very big; the wings are small enough to fit in my palm if laid on one side and the "eyeball" in the center is about the size of a marble or so. That's not really too much of a problem, though. As with this whole line, the "flight navigator" stand seems kind of pointless - why not just hold the toy in your hand if you're playing with it? - but it does make a neat display stand if you're just putting it on a shelf or desk to look at and it detaches and reattaches easily.
