I used this to weld to a steel post and mount my air hose reel on. Worked great. Being able to order parts to size like this may be a wee bit more expensive, but it saves a lot of time for someone who doesn't have a plasma cutter. Really glad to have such easy access to steel stock.

If you need, as I do, two 8x8" steel plates, your search is over. I'm using them as a base for a ham radio antenna and they work perfectly. The steel is clean, no rust, no rough edges, very nice for whatever you may need them for. When I received them, I cleaned them with Dawn soap and dried them. They seem very high quality. It's a bit of an unusual item to need, but if you do, these are the ones you want.

Material and sizing of plates are exactly as listed. I needed these plates to finish the construction of pier adapter for my telescope. I used one of the plates (the other is a backup) to make the foundation of the pier. To it, I mounted a disc brake that hold my motorized mount for my telescope.

It worked out great for what I needed. I sandwiched them on a work table and placed my heavy duty vice on top. Had to drill holes, it is some hard stuff. Worked out great.
