Made of cheep Chinese plastic and is to short to drain far enough from the hot tub.

I have an in-ground hot tub. This requires gravity to work which I can’t really muster enough of given my spa’s close proximity to the ground. In general, it’s awkward and clumsy to try to use anyway. Don’t recommend.

I thought this would hook up to the pool pump but it's more of a gravity vacuum. I skimmed the instructions and it seems you hook it all up then suck on the end of the hose to get it started and then it just syphons from there. Must be for a really small hot tub.

Useful tool. Suggest you hang it over something in hot sun to soften and remove the hose kinks from initial packaging. Bought it for hot tub and has been useful for the occasional vacuuming BUT especially for draining the tub and draining rainwater off the cover after being away for 10 days (didn't want bugs and debris getting into tub from standing puddle on cover).Design works and no mouthfuls of dirty water.

The tubes came folded to fit in the box. This caused severe kinks so I could not keep a flow going.

This product was frustrating because it never lost the original kink in the tube from when it was shipped. It did work, however, no matter what I tried, I couldn't get it to continuously flow because the original kink in the tub would stop the water flow.

This vacuum works but the way it is shipped, the tube is folded in order to fit in the box. The tube (6 months later) doesn't ever get increased. So the folds don't ever go away. I have stored this in a large storage container where most of it is unfolded (only 1 fold), and it is still creased at all the folds. While that doesn't render it inoperable, it hinders how well it sucks. The extension pieces just loosely fit together as well. So... not great quality, but it does work.
