Great set so far. I like that it’s standard and metric, plus the sockets are a fairly thin, so can be used as your non impact and impact set - all in one box. Plus, they are all six point. The extensions, ratchet and adapters are great. I’ll probably by a second for the other house. I will admit, I haven’t abused them yet. As a DIY mechanic, it might be awhile before I push one to break.

have used this a few times and so far so good. heavy duty and hope it holds up through the years. the case is nice as previously I've had mini trays that organize my different ratchet accessories.

I purchased this socket set because I didn't have any impact Sockets for my quarter inch tools. This socket set has held up well and i've already completed a few projects. The black sockets are clearly identifiable even without my glasses. I didn't need a ratchet but it came with one and i'm glad it did because it's a nice little ratchet that feels good in the hand. The price was good. The case is nice and strong.

The only complaint is that even after wiping them off many times, still oil on the tools! But have held up better than my Craftsman!

Can believe I'm writing this, not a fan of china products but Hordesy seems to be a name etched on the same tools that 15 other names are etched on. So whoever actually makes these they ain't bad. It's a throw away set. Bang'em break'em throw them away, it don't matter. They are cheap and surprisingly durable. Easy to read size and they work perfectly as intended! I'm happy with them.

So, the title is made to say this: Every cheap socket/ratchet set come from 1 of 2 places, with varying degrees of price. These are better then the new ones from harbor freight, but not as good as the old ones from them (older ones are thicker and better steel, and fit ANY ratchet or air/electric/battery tools). They are as good as the new home depot ones also.Fit: These fit each other very well, but dont go on my Ryobi HP brushless impact gun very well at all. I had to have a neighbor set the 1/2 inch to 3/8 reducer in the Ryobi, as I could not push hard enough to get it in (may be the Ryobi, may be the socket size is too small/wrong), otherwise I would have had to use a sand mallet to get the 1/2 inch to 3/8 inch reducer on, and risk ruining my Ryobi HP brushless.Strength/quality: I will say in all confidence that these will do the job! (I cant say that they wont break with an air impact gun, since I no longer own one). It actually broke one of my factory bolts, 1/2 or 5/8 inch thick bolts! 12, 15, 17, and 19 mm sockets used. So, I can safely say that these are tough sockets. Neither the Ryobi impact gun nor the 1/2 inch to 3/8 reducer, Ratchet, and 3/8 inch sockets broke, the bolt did!The black coating made these easier to grab? I think so, vs my old ones, but my old ones are OLD and worn and greased. I gave the 'Easy to Read a 4 star, as I had issues seeing the numbers, but I have trouble reading anything w/o my reading glasses, so it could be a 5 star also. And, one of the sockets did chip a little piece of the black coating off (I mean a real tiny piece of it), the one that broke the thick body bolt on, so it could be a 4 star also. I will see as time goes by and I use them more.Molded Case: All of the sockets, extensions, reducers, sat very nicely in the case. No loose set here (Only used once so far, but the shipping didnt even make them come out of their places. Only the Ratchet was a little loose, but that isnt a bad thing, if/as you will be using that much more than the individual sockets anyway, but it didnt fall out of its place either (that I remember anyway, lol).Price: Pretty impressive for the price, quality, and quantity that you get with the set I got. I couldnt find anything cheaper online or in stores, anywhere.Set: I got the 3/8 impact set, mm only, long and short sockets, with 72 tooth ratchet and a few length bars and size increase/reducers.Durability: I only gave this set a 4 star, as I dont know how well they will do in the long run (mostly the ratchet though). As what I and my neighbor did with the ones we used, I would give it 5 stars, as it stripped 1 bolt and broke another, before either the ratchet of sockets/extensions broke. But, longevity is unknown for 1 use, and I am not sure about the black coating on these.Recommend or not:I would definitely recommend this set, for home mechanics, or shop maintenance, or whatever you are doing. I couldnt find a more complete set at a lower price than this set, anywhere. I give this set a 4 1/2 star out of 5 so far.

Great Price for the kitGood range of sizes so you always have a socket for the jobI particulaly like this deep drive socket set as they have a thin wall which allow access in tight spaces like alloy wheel nuts where some sockets wont fit into the nut recess. The deep drive is handy for tighening nuts on on a longer bolt thread like temporary fencing brackets

I'm not mechanic by trade but I work on my cars throughout the year, work on my friends cars and I work on cars that I buy and sell.Bought this with low expectations expecting limited use, dispose and buy new in due time.I cannot afford premium quality brands.Well, let me tell you, this comes as close to premium quality brand as you would expect.Worth every $ more. After buying this tool set, got few more bits and pieces from the same brand.Whoever makes this tool line well done. You are doing a great job.
