The design measures approximately 12 1/2 in wide x 7 1/4 in tall, while the base measures 12 1/2 in by 3/4 in.It has two 3/16 in holes drilled into the base for mounting. Even though I like the topper it is deceiving in the description. I was under the impression that it would come with the mailbox. Should be stated as topper only - mailbox is separate. I would not have paid this much if I did not know the mailbox was not included. I saw several that were just as nice but under 20. That would make more since seeing that I need to purchase mailbox also.
