1st issue Auto ignition failure – auger keeps feeding after ignition, over feeding sending half burnt pellets into the ash bin.2nd issue Less complete combustion - flame quality is not good as it should be.My stove was functioning flawlessly until the moment I installed the extension.The extension fits well, but does not make an airtight seal like the OEM hopper. The air tight seal was by design and leads to other issues when not present, just release the latch on your OEM hopper and find what happens… There is no gasket on the bottom of the hopper and uses bend over tabs to hold the unit down, then relies on silicone to seal the gap. This is not ideal but workable. The lid is the real issue, there is nothing to hold the lid tight against the foam they installed for an air seal. The foam compared to the OEM seal is inferior, but it may work if their was a latch on the lid forcing it shut.I would have bought the OEM, but it could not be found, so I bought this. Little did I know at almost the same price as OEM, I was going to introduce issues into my problem free P43. I would have removed this extension by now just went back to the OEM hopper, but I have Matra pellets which unfortunately have too much dust in them and lock up on the sides of the hopper, leading to the stove running out of pellets with a half full hopper, the only solution was to extend the hopper until I burn them all up. Once the Matra pellet are gone, I do not plan on using this extension ever again.If you experience the auto ignition problem, here is how to start your stove.Have the igniter in auto and start your stove as you normally would.Once you have a good ignition , before the auger tries to kill your flame with too many pellets, turn your stove off.Then flip the igniter to manual, turn the stove back on.The auger will only feed a small amount of pellets continuously with the igniter in Manual. Once your flame is ready to go, flip the igniter back into auto, the room fan will come on and the stove will operate normally.

I rearly post any feedback but this really deserves it!!! Item came super quick nicly packed amd in good shape, it works just as advertised perfact fit!! Amd when i email the seller with a question he responded within 5 minutes!!

The hopper fit perfectly onto the top of the built in hopper. It is a lot easier feeding pellets into the hopper now that I can easily put an entire bag into the hopper without worrying about overflowing the pellets onto the floor.

Product is as described & is well built. Installation was easy. It was exactly what I wanted. Company is a stand up company. There was a problem that occurred during shipping with the product causing damage to it. The company immediately issued a replacement for the damaged product & I received it quickly. They were apologetic & there was no hassle at all. Very pleased with the product & the company.

This was very easy to install. I ground the rivets off my lid an removed it (just wanted it to look good) looks like it would work fine if i left . i added a bead of silicone between the old top an the new bottom to keep dust in the hopper. This new set up holds about 2 1/2 bags.This hopper looks an works great on my Harman p43.
