Absolutely love this tool! My geriatric goat has tough, thick hooves too much for snippers. This bad mammer jammer is a game changer. Wear leather gloves or it will rip up your skin badly if it gets away from you and use caution on the hooves so you don't take them down too far.

I wish I had one of these years ago! Makes hoof trimming on goats, cows, and horses way easier and quicker than traditional hoof tools. The battery makes it usable anywhere anytime. I bought an extra battery to keep on keeping on.

This really is a great tool for hoof trimming, quickening the process and yielding good results, having used it about 8 times now. This is, in my opinion, the proper tool for chasing out decay in hoof wall separation, especially in between the toes. The sanding disc is a tight fit in between the toes, but I can get in there to remove separated hoof wall. After mechanical removal, a squirt of Dr. Naylors liquid hoof rot treatment helps arrest decay on a microscopic scale so things don't keep receding up to the hairline. Haven't tried the abrasive wheels yet, only the sanding disc, but that alone is sufficient for our goat hoof trimming needs.

Still getting used to using it but it's well build. I thought the goats would freak out but it wasn't too bad. Wear a glove on the hand you're holding the hoof.

I had the opportunity to test out this tool at the 2023 ADGA convention in Tulsa. Most of the people attending the presentation have this and use it regularly so I added it to my cart and purchased it. I used it for the first time today. The chain saw blade still intimidated me a little bit so I started out with the silvery gray coarse blade. It has been a few months since my does had a good trim so their feet were a bit overgrown. I found this blade a little choppy and it didn’t cut through like I had wanted to. I had a little bit of clean up to do with the hand trimmers afterward and it was still a bit fatiguing on my arms. Tonight I decided to change it up and try out the chain saw blade. This was a game changer. This blade cut like butter, gave me an incredibly smooth hoof surface and I was able to complete a hoof in about 30 seconds. No more need for the hand trimmer, this was amazing and I should have started with it the first time. Don’t be like me and dive right in and use this one first. Also- take a look at the YouTube video on how to use as it works best when angling to the hoof vs flat across as one may assume. WEAR THE EYE PROTECTION AND THICK GLOVES- this will chew up your hands. Don’t choose your most expensive pair the first time as you will chew them up when you bump them. Also- keep your mouth closed- you’ll know exactly what I mean the first time you use it. This toolShould definitely come with this warning as well! I’m so glad I purchased this as it will be a game changer going forward. No more blisters from using the hand tool. Goats didn’t seem to have a problem with the noise or vibration. 5 stars!!!
