I am fairly handy, done basic plumbing, installed kitchen sinks, bathroom vanity, toilet, and every single one of those was easier than tackling this POS shelf install.It looks decent enough and for the cheap price I am fine with the materials themselves, it is the hardware that is the problem. I had to purchase all new hardware in order to fasten the unit to the drywall. All the drywall anchors were so flimsy that as soon as I turned them into the drywall they twisted and broke.Additionally, the screw heads are too small and fall out of the hole that secures the shelving bracket to the wall so the screw kept falling out. I had to buy washers in order to keep the screw heads in place. Horribly frustrating process.If you do by this make sure you buy 6 good drywall anchors, with wide screw heads at least a 1/2 inch to 5/8 wide. If there is nothing that size buy 6 washers at least that wide.

This is a really cool shelf (five stars) but it's a pain to assemble (removes two stars). The build quality and accuracy of the pieces is really good but the shelves themselves look and feel kinda cheap. I guess I got what I paid for though. It's quite sturdy and will work well to store my stuff. I didn't like putting holes in my walls but I guess it's part and parcel of the minimalist design.

I'm actually using this in the garage corner to hold my filters and hot tub equipment, chemicals, etc. Very easy to assemble and install. I used my own anchors that I prefer. The wood is engineered, but has a nice look to them. The iron pipe fits in with our new home decor.

The instructions were easy to make sense of and it went together very smoothly. All the pieces were there and in good shape. Everything assembled nice and straight. The size matches the description and pictures. The lamination on the shelves is even embossed so it gives it a nicer feel. Looks great!
